I download albums from bands if I'm just getting into them, then if I really grow to like them, I'll start buying legit. I know I can listen to these albums on YouTube or Spotify, but if I'm at my computer, I'll be doing other things besides paying attention to the music, so I never really get into it.

05.07.13 | For clarification - I didn't actively try to use Mediafire. I went to Filestube, and every link for album #1 was to Mediafire; there weren't any other download sites I could find through blogs or Google. Trust me, if there had been, I wouldn't have ranted.
I also didn't actually look for #'s 3 or 4 because I'm going to listen to them on Spotify first (and yes, they are there, but I explain why I was looking to download them in my first comment). And I'm going to buy #5 instead of downloading it. The other two albums I torrented hours ago (I usually try and avoid torrenting because I've been flagged for doing it before). |
