ILJ 04.29.13	If I have to retake Calc 3 I will be so pissed
ILJ 04.29.13	Physics isn't really an issue, I need like a 31% to get a C-, and that's without a curve that is pretty much inevitable. Calculus though, man that class always ends up being way too close for comfort.

ILJ 04.29.13	I have no problem taking finals, but I find it kind of ridiculous that they're worth 25-30 percent of the final grade. That's just me though.

RogueNine 04.29.13	Everyone told me Calc 3 was gonna be easier than Calc 2. Lies man, lies. That stuff I can do. But physics? shudders
ILJ 04.29.13	I definitely think Calc 3 is easier, concept wise at least. The only thing I find really challenging is some of the triple integration stuff. There aren't any Taylor Series (oh my fucking god I hate Taylor Series) but my problem is that there are so many various equations to remember. The memorization alone is a huge part of the problem. Physics blows but it's doable.
Yuli 04.29.13	I took Calculus 2 because I had to take one more math class, and I wanted a challenge. I definitely got a challenge.

ILJ 04.29.13	I'm still not sure how I scraped by with a C-. Got lucky I suppose (anything less and I'd be studying for a Calc 2 final right and not a Calc 3 final)
Yuli 04.29.13	I somehow ended up with an A in Calculus-- I think it was mostly that the final was all multiple-choice, and that worked really well for me. The class itself was hell though, although I did get to share it with some friends. Right now my classes are kind of a joke. Color Theory, Anthropology, Accounting, etc., so the finals won't be bad. I did have to write a 13-page paper for Metaphysics... Glad that's out of the way.
ILJ 04.29.13	I love writing papers, mostly because I'm one of those people that can crank out one draft the night before it's due and get an A. I do it almost every single time too.
Yuli 04.29.13	Papers are a breeze if you know shit about the topic. Otherwise it's splitting hairs. Plus, I take pride in my writing and hate bullshitting papers, but it's about impossible not doing so, to some extent, on long-ass papers.
ILJ 04.29.13	Yeah, it drives me nuts when I'm given a length requirement. Like, let me write my fucking paper, I can say a lot in a little. It's better than me adding a bunch of fluff to meet the requirement, which I invariably end up doing.

I mean, sure, there are many reasons why it makes sense, but one reaches a point where he can't really bring much more to the table...

Yuli 04.29.13	Haha, agreed. I like particular parts of metaphysics, but on the whole there are so many uninteresting/unimportant topics contained within it. But I'll gladly write a huge paper on why DEP is the greatest.

ILJ 04.29.13	"i hate you fucking 7 more weeks of school fuck you quarter system to hell FUCK" no fuck u i had quarters last year and it was the best thing ever. i don't know what it's like at smaller schools but here semesters are fucking awful. they campaigned semesters as being "more classes but slower paced." but really it's "more classes at the same exact pace for longer periods of time with less breaks." seriously, it's terrible. and literally every person i've talked to that's been on both systems share the same view. maybe it works at smaller schools, but here it's just more stress for longer periods of time.

" i mean i'm done in two days, which is fantastic, but i much preferred quarters. and the university doesn't even give us a fall break. it's just 15 straight weeks of mindfuckery. "I feel ya though. ILJ 04.30.13	I'm glad I actually put forth all this effort, most of the stuff actually makes sense. Tomorrow I can just focus on getting the equations memorized before I actually take the test. Fuck me I can't wait until tomorrow is over.
