Atari
04.18.13 | 2/2 artwork fuck yeahh |
JamieTwort
04.18.13 | FIVE THEM BOTH |
Atari
04.18.13 | lol gonna jam them both today |
JamieTwort
04.18.13 | If I had to pick I'd probably go with Aqualung but I think that's only because it was the first Tull album I heard and therefore it holds more sentimental value for me. |
Atari
04.18.13 | cool bro. jamming TAAB right now then i'll listen to aqualung again |
LilLioness
04.18.13 | Thick as a Brick 2. :-P |
BigPleb
04.18.13 | Aqualung, but both 5's. |
JamieTwort
04.18.13 | Leb knows. |
Atari
04.18.13 | i might 5 them both we'll see. ;) I want to build up my 5's more i think i'm too picky about giving out 5's sometimes. if an album fucking rules it should be a 5. |
BigPleb
04.18.13 | Which those 2 do.
Keep jammin away. |
Atari
04.18.13 | i'm probably gonna 5 the beatles -revolver too got that album's even better than i remember it |
Keyblade
04.18.13 | "If I had to pick I'd probably go with Aqualung but I think that's only because it was the first Tull album I heard and therefore it holds more sentimental value for me."
wish i read this before i made my list |
ChuckyTruant
04.18.13 | derp 5 both |
Atari
04.18.13 | yeah keyblade jamietwort is the best user agreed. |
manosg
04.18.13 | Easy, both are 5s.
If I had to choose one though, I'd go with TAAB. |
Atari
04.18.13 | yeah i'm about to 5 TAAB now |
manosg
04.18.13 | Good decision dude.
As a non-English speaker, I sometimes have to read the lyrics in order to take 100% from an album. TAAB is not only musically but also lyrically incredible. |
Atari
04.18.13 | damn i don't even know all the lyrics yet. by the way have you heard black widow's self titled album? ( i already know you've heard sacrifice) |
manosg
04.18.13 | No, not yet. How does it compare to Sacrifice? |
Atari
04.18.13 | well sacrifice is a 5 for me lol but i gave the self titled a 4.5. it doesn't really have the same occult/satanic themes as sacrifice and isn't as heavy but it's sure to please fans of tull. I still need to listen to it again actually but yeah it rules. |
Gwyn.
04.18.13 | Only heard TaaB so that |
Atari
04.18.13 | @manosg,
i'll actually be reviewing the black widow self titled shortly but first reviewing simon and garfunkel sounds of silence because somehow it doesn't have a review. |
manosg
04.18.13 | Sacrifice is a good album so I'll def give it a spin. Since you like Tull, you can try McChurch Soundroom - Delusion. Their use of the flute reminds a lot of Ian Anderson. |
manosg
04.18.13 | Sounds of silence doesn't have a review??? Great choice by the way. |
Atari
04.18.13 | yeah man it makes no sense that's like their breakthrough album lol |
JamieTwort
04.18.13 | "wish i read this before i made my list"
haha, don't worry, TaaB was a prefectly acceptable choice. |
Atari
04.18.13 | just 5'd taab prolly just gonna 5 them both cause they both rule and i still can't pick a favorite |
Keyblade
04.18.13 | ha i changed it anyway. at the expense of 10 more r's in the descrip. worth it |
JamieTwort
04.18.13 | "TAAB is not only musically but also lyrically incredible."
Agreed hard. That album has some of the best lyrics I've ever come across. Anderson is a genius. |
omnipanzer
04.18.13 | I'm sure this has already been said but
Aqualung
It is most peoples first JT album and it has a lot more variety instead of one long song in multiple movements. It's JT at their hungriest and contains zero filler. |
laughingman22
04.18.13 | I have always preferred aqualung but that probably because listened to it since I was a 2 year old |
Friday13th
04.18.13 | Thick as a Brick dude. That phony newspaper cover and album-long track just own. Doesn't get more prog than that. |
Atari
04.18.13 | listening to heavy horses now |
ButteryBiscuitBass
04.18.13 | Hard decision. |
JamieTwort
04.18.13 | Heavy Horses is also a 5 ;) |
Atari
04.18.13 | whoah man did heavy horses grow on you cause i was just looking at your jethro tull top 10 list and it's number 5 |
JamieTwort
04.18.13 | Yep, 3-5 on that list have always been interchangeable but over last 6 months or so I've realised that Heavy Horses is definitely my favourite out of those. Anderson's songwriting on that album is superb. |
Atari
04.18.13 | Nice bro yeah i'm definitely digging it I had heard it a few months back but barely remembered it lol |
Chortles
04.19.13 | taab hard |
Atari
04.19.13 | I ended up 5'ing them both lol but i might like taab more it's a really tough call |
manosg
04.19.13 | Anderson is a genius. [2]
I always liked Songs from the Wood more from their "folk trilogy" but Heavy Horses is also great. |
DrHouseSchuldiner
04.19.13 | taab hard [2] |
Storm In A Teacup
04.19.13 | Both are amazing. I'd give the edge to Aqualung but when I was like 5 or 10 or 15 years old the answer would have been Thick As A Brick So Hard |
