Redundant Converge List
Thought I'd make a Converge ranked list like a true member of sputnik. |
1 | | Converge Jane Doe
We all knew this would be my number one choice. The most emotional and powerful
record I've listened to. It flows cohesively and purposefully from beginning to end,
feeling more like one giant masterpiece or journey than a mere collection of songs
like their other albums do. Made much more impressive and beautiful by how
different it is from their other albums. |
2 | | Converge No Heroes
A brutal, fast-paced epic that slows down down midway through for the beautifully
climactic Grim Heart/Black Rose, one of my all-time favourite Converge songs. |
3 | | Converge Axe To Fall
Filled with crazy leads and riffs from start to finish and an excellent example of how
to defy typical songwriting techniques in favour of originality. This album definitely
represents Converge as a whole more than any of their others. This albums comes
to a satisfying close with the beautiful Cruel Bloom and the unnervingly depressing
Wretched World. |
4 | | Converge All We Love We Leave Behind
Very similar to Axe To Fall but more heavy and pummeling, with more of the same
awesome guitar leads that help Converge to stand out from their peers. |
5 | | Converge Petitioning The Empty Sky
Converge's most hardcore release, permeated with Jacob Bannon's endearingly
unrefined clean vocals. The least metal album Converge has come out with |
6 | | Converge When Forever Comes Crashing
Similar to but heavier than PTES, though less gripping. A standout song is the
brutal Conduit, which features a crushing breakdown near the end. The next track
Lowest Common Denominator is downright creepy. |
7 | | Converge You Fail Me
This album honestly bores me and I'd be very open to someone demonstrating to
me why this album is so highly regarded amidst Converge's other releases. |
