03.14.13 | Everyone has their own opinion, only one I didn't consider was Rocka Rolla which would have been 21 for sure If I had done all the albums just for the title track. |
Mike08
03.14.13 | I like priest alot, but maiden has the comfortable win. |
DominionMM1
03.14.13 | arealdeadone was so much cooler when he went by bighans |

03.14.13 | 70s priest is like wine bro |
ARealDeadOne
03.14.13 | Dominion I'm a new user, was never known as anyone else.
I agree with Maiden (naturally judging by my list and name) but I think some Priest has aged be
very well, better than even certain Maiden songs like Run To The Hills. Hell Bent For Leather for one, 35 years old and
still rocks. The Sentinel especially, and all of Painkiller. However, nothing beats 2 Minutes To Midnight, The Rine Of The
Ancient Mariner, or
Powerslave by Maiden for me though, except maybe Bruce's Number of the Beast single version of Remember
Tomorrow. |
tempest--
03.14.13 | This is tough. Judas Priest up until Screaming for Vengeance > Iron Maiden, but overall Maiden > Priest. |
NightProwler
03.14.13 | Definitely Maiden, no contest there. But Priest still rules hard m/ |
MoosechriS
03.14.13 | Maiden ftw, but priest will always be gods of metal |
JamieTwort
03.14.13 | 13 is my favourite album from either band but overall I'd have to go with Maiden. |

03.14.13 | 'Judas Priest helped create and greatly shaped an entire sub-genre of rock, and Maiden took it just as far if not further.'
Should've read as: Judas Priest helped create and greatly shaped an entire sub-genre of rock, and Maiden perfected it. |
NightProwler
03.14.13 | Agreed |
manosg
03.14.13 | Maiden. Nevertheless, Sad Wings of Destiny deserves to be higher imo. |

03.15.13 | Priest but i honestly don't listen to quite enough Maiden should fix |
ChopSuey
03.15.13 | Maiden |
HorrorBusiness78
09.24.14 | Maiden are far better songwriters, not even close IMO. I've never really been able to get into Priest other than a few songs here and there. |
DikkoZinner
09.24.14 | Iron Maiden |

JamieTwort
09.24.14 | Both rule (and are obviously the band's best eras respectively) but for me 70's Priest produced music that's better than anything Maiden have done. Sad Wings stands head and shoulders over any Maiden album. |
NeroCorleone80
09.24.14 | Sad Wings > Maiden agreed. |
adr
09.24.14 | not even best Priest, but ok |
manosg
09.24.14 | Without Priest there's probably no Maiden and Sad Wings is a classic but I'd take three Maidens over Sad
Wings. Just personal preference obv. |
betray
09.24.14 | Really is best priest tho |
NeroCorleone80
09.24.14 | Yeah objectively Maiden are easily better as a whole, I just prefer Priest's riffs and Halford's vocals. |
wwba
09.24.14 | I think Maiden won because they made into the mainstream industry and became the second most mainstream metal band ever next to Metallica. |
SIMBOLIC
09.24.14 | painkiller over number wuuuuuuuuuuuut
maiden is p much the rush of metal you can't beat that overall discog

12.29.14 | cant really get into iron maiden tbh
its too cheesy for me.
priest on the other hand is freakkin awesome sometimes |
pedro70512
12.29.14 | Priest's "best of" kills Maiden's, but Maiden was so much more consistent. |
manosg
12.30.14 | Nah, I can't say that Maiden are more cheesy, especially compared to 80s Priest. |
Dunpeal
12.30.14 | since you're taking requests can we get BOTDF vs. Brokencyde |
TheMoonchild
12.30.14 | I would have to respectfully disagree on the "Without Priest..." comment. Steve was more influenced by bands like Deep Purple and UFO at the time.
In fact on the way back to London from the Maiden fan club trip to Luxembourg this past summer (Maiden's first ever gig in Lux and it kicked ass), one of the DVDs shown was UFO: Too Hot to Handle and not only did Steve make an appearance in a few interview bits, but I was taken aback at how similar some of the songs I was hearing were to the first four albums. |
