"dude, that inc record is straight baby thighs/ mad average" lovin' that album, one of the favorites on the year. "rob mazurek is tight. i wouldn't say it's free jazz, seems completely thru composed to me. really interesting" i'd agree its a loose term. i think it's "free jazz" in the sense that fire! orchestra is "free jazz"; there's a clear foundation at the helm but the instruments are allowed enough flexibility and improvisation that it gains an aimless and chaotic feel to it similar to that of an all-out free jazz album.

Alot of subtitles too, reminds me of the production on a d'angelo record. I hear the prince vibe, but I think they take the sound to a different level. Kinda the way Dam-Funk gave Prince's electro-funk instrumentals his own unique spin.

It is just boring and nothing special to me. I feel you can get similar stuff all the time on bandcamp and what not. But as always a couple gems so cheers!

I've gotten the impression this glorious micro-genre isn't going to sell well on Sputnik, so you've gotta cover it up a bit.
