Best Christmas Presents?
Music of course. |
| 1 | | Phosphorescent Pride
Heart-warming art folk. |
| 2 | | Thanksgiving The River
The guy has worked with the microphones but this has a less noise and more folk sound. |
| 3 | | The Microphones Song Islands
The acoustic version of 'the moon' is beyond beautiful. Haven't listened to the rest enough yet. |
| 4 | | Thurston Moore Trees Outside The Academy
Just because I'm a sucker for Sonic Youth. Like this a lot. |
| 5 | | Animal Collective Strawberry Jam
I love 'Feels" so I figured I should get the new CD and I am not disappointed. However am I the only
one who finds this record a bit more inaccessible? |
| 6 | | Wooden Shjips Wooden Shjips
Haven't listened to this enough but I like what I hear. Weird stuff. |
| 7 | | The Microphones It Was Hot We, Stayed In The Water
Not as good as 'The Glow pt. 2' but still very good indeed. |
| 8 | | TV On The Radio Return To Cookie Mountain
My friend told me to buy one of their albums ages ago so I finally did. It was only after I got this that he
told me their older one was better. Bastard. Anyways this is good. |
| 9 | | Panda Bear Person Pitch
Recently there was a news article on Sputnik where this album topped the 2007 list of some website. If
Boxer didn't exist I would have a hard time disagreeing. I downloaded this CD a while ago but I needed
to get the hard copy. |
| 10 | | The Woods How To Survive In + In The Woods
So I wondered into my nearest Rough Trade (Amazing music store in London) and the album cover
caught my eye. I chucked it in the CD player at the store and listened to the whole album through. This
CD is lo-fi indie/folk at its warmest yet features bursts of noise similar to artists like the Microphones. |
