Some guns are illegal. All guns require registration, and a license. |

whaaaaat? dude, Toronto is waaaaay more sketchy and dangerous than Vancouver. Ok well we have the downtown east side and Surrey but that's it. what sort of sketchy shit do you hear about all the time here? people in BC are almost unanimously chill as fuck (except for the Chinese, they get irate really easily and there's a lot of them).
don't you dare mention the hockey riot ok |

02.18.13 | Toronto is the Manhattan of Canada so what do you expect.
Vancouver is known for:
a) lots of rain
b) crazy hockey fans
c) Canada's densest drug-dependent population
d) a really rad hip-hop scene
e) an equally dense population of misguided youth
f) most well known city for having a high crime rate
g) the needle exchange
h) it's less overt and outspoken neo-nazi population
There is a reason why all of the best policing, forensic psychology, criminology, and counseling programs in post-secondary institutions come from BC
Also,
i) a strangely high population of chinese |

02.18.13 | dude half of those "points" said the same thing.
yeah people shoot lots of fucking heroin here. and how is that population being "dense" a bad thing? they all chill on Hastings, leaving the rest of the city very safe.
"d) a really rad hip-hop scene
e) an equally dense population of misguided youth"
first of all, we don't really have that big of a hip-hop scene. I mean we have a little one, but we're known for our hardcore punk, house music, and indie-pop bands. plus, putting those two together like they're related. ughhhh I missed thinking you were a fucking idiot.
basically Vancouver rules and you're deluding yourself into saying it's a "wretched city" or something of the like because you live in Ontario. don't get me wrong, Ottawa is a lovely city, but Vancouver is so awesome that it transcends the (modest) issues we have with drugs and violence.
and since when is Vancouver known for "it's [sic] less overt and outspoken neo-nazi population"? Vancouver is known for being the most progressive and accepting international community in Canada (possibly North America), so I'm not sure where you're getting that from.
one more thing: "crazy hockey fans"
uhhhhh. Toronto? Montreal? we rioted once, and that was because a bunch of fucking bandwagoners from Surrey got pissed when the team they had liked for all of two months didn't win the cup.
ok wow I forgot how much effort it took to refute your weird ass statements. I gotta go now. Have fun being.....you. |

02.18.13 | I was around ten people with guns at least at different times and the worst it only made me nervous. I did have a gun put to
my head when I got in my old friends car. He was just joking around and I knew that but I admit I was surprised... Just
surprised. He was testing me to see if I was a cry baby bitch and I did quite well lol. That same friend of mine with my self and
one other were surrounded by over a dozen people. He told us to get behind him and he pulled out his gun and they walked
away lol. I have more stories but too much typed right now. |
Jash
02.18.13 | Yeah Toronto and surrounding area is a lot worse than Vancouver. Example, a guy my girlfriend went to highschool with got shot at a club randomly a few days ago, the shooter didn't know who he was, just walked into the club and fired a round. Don't know the last time I heard that happening in Vancouver. Also, the Van drug scene might seem worse on the news but it's just as bad out there, the difference is out here people do the classic well known drugs and in TO there's a larger scene on the chemical drugs police aren't very aware of yet (my gf and her friends had a cop find their half ounce bag of Ketamine, test if for blow and have it come up negative then just hand it back to them and leave) |
