02.14.13 | Start with Deloused on 1. It's not that hard to get into, while Frances might throw people off guard at first due to it's noisy transitions between songs. Frances is better though.
Don't understand how you can't "get" Coheed and Cambria because it's pretty straightforward. Their later stuff sucks but Second Stage Turbine, Fear Through the Eyes of Madness, and In Keeping Secrets are really solid releases. I recommend Second Stage.
Animal Collective is one of the best bands ever so keep trying until you get them because they rule. Don't fall for the Merriweather/Centipede hype, explore their earlier stuff - I would recommend Strawberry Jam, Feels, or Water Curses first and then Spirit They've Gone, Spirit They've Vanished to Fall Be Kind. After that, just keep exploring because their creativity never lets up. I feel like they honestly put out an album for almost every prevailing emotion, as odd as that may sound. |
