Top 5 Rap Records

I've been on a real rap kick lately, and this list is the result. Also, it's been about a year since I was last on here. Feels good to be back.
1Nas
Illmatic

This album has everything a rap record should have. It's deep, raw, and Nas has the meanest flow around. Nas paints vivid pictures of life on the streets of NY with rapid fire lyrics. Highlight Track = NY State of Mind
2Wu-Tang Clan
Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers)

This record is a masterpiece. I almost put it at number one to be honest. The production on 36 Chambers may be a little lacking, but that's the way the RZA intended; raw, dirty, and gritty. Each individual member of the Clan has their own individual sound and provides contrast while complementing the record as a whole. Highlight track = Wu-Tang Clan Ain't Nothin to Fuck Wit (Tiger Style)
3The Notorious B.I.G.
Ready to Die

Biggie takes you on a wild ride through his life on RtD. His flow is impeccable and the production here would make Dre envious. Highlight Track = Gimme the Loot
4Jay-Z
Reasonable Doubt

Jay's laid back, smooth sound gives this record a classy feel. This is truly Jay at his best. The production is top notch here, his lyrics are on point, and you get a glimpse of how big Jay's ego would become. Highlight Track = Dead Presidents 2 or I'm Feelin' It
5Eminem
The Marshall Mathers LP

This record is dark, gloomy, and sometimes downright evil. Em gives you his twisted warped outlook on life while contemplating himself and his fame. This record is very personal and inward driven. Here we see Em at his prime. Highlight Track = The Way I Am
