12.16.07 | Dream Theater were'nt as immobile as I thought when i saw them. James Labrie often ran around the stage, Petrucci would run into the middle of the stage during his solos often, and Myung actually headbanged a little when he opened up "Panic Attack." It was entertaining enough performance wise i thought, but they're playing was absolutely perfect. And Portnoy sung the intro to "Take the Time." It was sick.
I really want to see Symphony X live. |

12.16.07 | I really need to see Dream Theater, Symphony X and Sonata Arctica. Theyre all touring near me in late winter/spring. |

12.16.07 | When I saw 4 live, LaBrie had the audience in the palm of his hand, he was great with the audience. Portnoy was actually jumping around through the whole show, doing stick tricks at any opportunity and threw about 60 sticks into the crowd, plus he did the intro to home with one hand while he threw sticks around with the other. They were perfect (James' voice is almost back).
Would love to see 3 and 5. |

12.16.07 | Thor, DT rule live. They may look like they are statues but there's a lot of emotion and casual humour you have to catch. |

12.16.07 | ah, there was also a large screen behind the band when i saw DT live. They showed animations of the band(in the same style of that octavarium video) in a lot of the songs...like in "The Dark Eternal Night" it showed them fighting some giant monster dude, in a NADS vehicle. I think NADS was the studio name for that song actually. |

12.17.07 | I saw Portnoy and Petrucci at G3, which was amazing, so Ive seen 2/5 of Dream Theater. Portnoy was throwing sticks into the crowd and they were throwing them back at him, it was humorous. |
