02.23.13 | Bach is the best composer to ever exist.

02.23.13 | How did Mozart write so many songs if he was deaf? |
toxin.
02.23.13 | Beethoven was deaf, I don't think Mozart was.

02.23.13 | Also, after 10 years of mediocre piano playing, I can sort of look at sheet music and figure out how a song goes (emphasis on sort of). I'd imagine that a savant like Beethoven can literally write music and know how it sounds as he's writing it. He wasn't born deaf so by the time he went completely deaf it didn't make a difference. |
Trebor.
02.23.13 | Dude it's a 3 part joke
First of all yeah it was Beethoven
Second of all he went deaf late in his career, and he was so good at music he knew what each key sounded like and could play songs in his head so it didn't matter
Third, songs is far from the preferred nomenclature for classical music |
Havey
02.23.13 | Bach.
I could go on forever as to why but i'm on mobile so cba |
Trebor.
02.23.13 | Most master musicians can read sheet music and play the music in their head, Salieri does that shit in Amadeus |
Ecnalzen
02.23.13 | Chopin all the way. I tend to like composers from the 'romantic' period of classical music tho. |
treeqt.
02.23.13 | Even i can read basic sheet music and play the music in my head and I am god damn awful.
Pls go on forever havey, I'd be interested. |

@Havey, yeah man!
Bach's not my favorite to listen to, but one of my good friends who's a serious cellist basically spent all of last year converting me to a Bach disciple by showing me probably 100+ Bach pieces
