Shrine Of New Generation Slaves
We had to wait 4 years for Riverside to release their latest record, and it wasn't as refreshing as I had hoped and expected. It
has some great moments as you'd expect,
but I was hoping for more experimentation. Mariusz' presence on the album is more obvious than on previous records. Piotr's
experimentation with guitar tones is a positive sign though, hopefully he'll continue in the future.

Memories In My Head
A great EP, sure there's not much new on offer but it's still done in a classy way
and contains Riversides most incredible atmospheric moment (the ending of
Goodbye Sweet Innocence).

Out of Myself
A really good debut, it focuses more on the atmospheric aspect of the bands music and is
done well.

Second Life Syndrome
THE record that got me into the band, I didn't pay much attention to it initially but
eventually when I returned to it I fell in love. The atmosphere was intense and
there was a good blend with aggression. Great modern Prog.

Rapid Eye Movement
Yes people will be surprised that this is so high up but I really feel this is a strong
offering by the band, there's a lot of quality and the production is pretty good,
which allows that glorious atmosphere to shine and for those aggressive moments
to still have a decent grab at your throat.

Anno Domini High Definition
Brilliantly composed, brilliantly produced. Never a dull moment and such smooth
transitions in each song without any overstaying their welcome. Progressive metal
done very right. The band doesn't excessively focus on technicality, but do what
they do best, compose fantastic enjoyable songs. The mix still bothers me, but it
feels more balanced with headphones. Veni, vidi, vici.

I'm more open minded than that, and most albums eventually grow on me, but this hasn't and it doesn't look very likely. I'm very picky when it comes to ratings, so if it eventually grows on me the list will probably have a few changes. | Mad.

I can understand ADHD since that album is pretty polarizing, but Rapid Eye Movement over Second Life Syndrome is really surprising since IMO that album is just a weaker rehash of SLS. Even the weaker tracks on SLS I find better than most of the songs on REM. | Dreamflight

Dude, dude, dude, no. I guess you got bored of the riffing, but it's their most energetic record, and the compositions are so coherent it's incredible. I love that record, it's their best for me by quite some distance. Even though I love the atmospheric aspect of their music, ADHD as an album is near perfect. | LunaticSoul
