Riverside Ranked

I have ranked the LP's and EP's and mentioned a couple of my favourite rtracks on each album. rrrrrrSome of the tracks will seem outrageous, but I'm a rrule breaker so.... Give this band some rrrlove rrpeople

Voices In My Head

Great atmosphere, and almost all the songs are worthy enough to be on OOM.

Shrine Of New Generation Slaves

We had to wait 4 years for Riverside to release their latest record, and it wasn't as refreshing as I had hoped and expected. It
has some great moments as you'd expect,
but I was hoping for more experimentation. Mariusz' presence on the album is more obvious than on previous records. Piotr's
experimentation with guitar tones is a positive sign though, hopefully he'll continue in the future.
Feel Like Falling, Escalator Shrine

Memories In My Head

A great EP, sure there's not much new on offer but it's still done in a classy way
and contains Riversides most incredible atmospheric moment (the ending of
Goodbye Sweet Innocence).
Goodbye Sweet Innocence, Living In The Past

Out of Myself

A really good debut, it focuses more on the atmospheric aspect of the bands music and is
done well.
The Same River, Reality Dream II[i/]

Second Life Syndrome

THE record that got me into the band, I didn't pay much attention to it initially but
eventually when I returned to it I fell in love. The atmosphere was intense and
there was a good blend with aggression. Great modern Prog.
I Turned You Down, Reality Dream III

Rapid Eye Movement

Yes people will be surprised that this is so high up but I really feel this is a strong
offering by the band, there's a lot of quality and the production is pretty good,
which allows that glorious atmosphere to shine and for those aggressive moments
to still have a decent grab at your throat.
Schizophrenic Prayer, Ultimate Trip

Anno Domini High Definition

Brilliantly composed, brilliantly produced. Never a dull moment and such smooth
transitions in each song without any overstaying their welcome. Progressive metal
done very right. The band doesn't excessively focus on technicality, but do what
they do best, compose fantastic enjoyable songs. The mix still bothers me, but it
feels more balanced with headphones. Veni, vidi, vici.
Left Out, Hybrid Times
