01.19.13 | Both have their pros and cons but Omar's solo work is too inconsistent so I go with Steven |

01.19.13 | Gotta give it to Steven. I'm still a big Mars Volta fan, despite the naysayers, but could never get into Omar's solo stuff. |

01.19.13 | Steven is far better, Omar's solo work has some flaws. |

01.19.13 | Not really a fan of Omar or The Mars Volta so I've gotta go with Steven, even though I'm not overly keen on his more recent material. Early PT rules though. |

01.19.13 | If we're including every album they've ever been in, Omar takes the win. But if we're talking about just solo stuff, then Steve
wins.
But as a fan of both, I dont know. Steve always sticks to his psych and prog roots in his albums (Which works well), while Omar
tends to branch out more and try new things (even though some are missteps). They've both been essential to modern-day
prog, but I have to go with Omar. I'll admit his discography is a bit of a hit or miss, but when he gets things right, he surpasses
Steve by a long shot. 'Xenophanes', 'Frances', and 'Relationship- being examples. |
