Death, Best To Worst

Every single Death album was different, and were all very good. But like most artist's discographies, some were better than others.
1Death
The Sound of Perseverance

Death's last, but best album. The riffs, and even the lyrics were crushing. Not a single song out of place here (besides the Painkiller cover, but it was excellent).
2Death
Individual Thought Patterns

Almost as good as SoP. The middle of the album was a little weaker than the first and last couple songs, but overall an incredible album.
3Death
Symbolic

This album was way different than ITP, and had shown a major change in Death's sound. This is the least heavy of all the Death releases.
4Death
Human

Similar to ITP, but not as good because of the lack of bass (you can't hear DiGiorgio at all) and the guitarwork isn't as refined as it's successor albums. The end of the album was weaker than the beginning.
5Death
Leprosy

The lyrics in this album took a giant leap forward, abandoning the gory lyrics that made SBG a definitive death metal album. Guitar work has improved here, and songs have been made a little slower.
6Death
Scream Bloody Gore

Though the defining death metal album, it is the weakest Death release. It's still very good, just not as entertaining as the others due to lackluster guitarwork, and the 220bpm speed the entire album was made to go at. The bass is surprisingly high in the mix though.
