My Top 33 2012 |
33 | | Lions Lions To Carve Our Names
good songs and some filler |
32 | | Being As An Ocean Dear G-d
comparable to Lions Lions, begins phenomenal, gets worse to the end except of the last song |
31 | | While She Sleeps This Is the Six
love "Our Courage, Our Cancer", some other good songs too, but some songs are straight boring |
30 | | In Hearts Wake Divination
some excellent songs, some monotonous filler |
29 | | In League Sleep and You Might Miss This
want to listen to this again and again, I realize every time that it is good/average but not more |
28 | | The Audition Chapter 2
nice alternation between heavy records, didn't expect a solid EP like this |
27 | | Departures Teenage Haze
very nice sound, but gets monotonous, hardly any memorable parts |
26 | | Night Verses Out of the Sky
strong debut EP |
25 | | Silverstein Short Songs
would love to hear the Silverstein songs as a whole, some covers on the other side are peculiarly |
24 | | The Tidal Sleep Four Song EP
expressive and mass potential |
23 | | Athletics Who You Are Is Not Enough
very strong, last two songs aren't as good as the other three |
22 | | The Early November In Currents
some nice and some average songs |
21 | | Sleeping With Sirens If You Were a Movie, This Would Be Your Soundtrack
nice and pleasant Acoustic EP |
20 | | Solace Call and Response
great sound, but not perfect |
19 | | Texas In July Texas In July
very strong, gets monotonous at the end |
18 | | To Speak of Wolves Find Your Worth, Come Home
quite monotonous, strong parts, sometimes unstructured but I like that, powerful |
17 | | Our Last Night Age of Ignorance
too little usage of screams, too mainstream sounding at some parts, but catchy |
16 | | For The Fallen Dreams Wasted Youth
not 100 % convincingly, but definitely the best FTFD record IMO |
15 | | Memphis May Fire Challenger
miles better than "The Hollow", a little bit monotonous, but cool |
14 | | Deftones Koi No Yokan
cool sound, has the Deftones vibe, but lacks something to be excellent |
13 | | Enter Shikari A Flash Flood of Colour
fun record, this band is entertaining, bonus tracks are phenomenal |
12 | | Stick To Your Guns Diamond
actually not my favorite genre, but this is powerful, consistent and poignant |
11 | | Hands Like Houses Ground Dweller
great artwork and music, gets a little bit weaker at the end, production's not so good |
10 | | I See Stars Digital Renegade
just fun, summer record for me |
9 | | The Overseer We Search, We Dig
so much Underoath-esque, great sound, sometimes monotonous, but that is a good thing |
8 | | Belle Epoque Disillusions of Man
beautiful EP |
7 | | Go Radio Close The Distance
definitely the best Go Radio release so far, consistent and poignant |
6 | | Pierce The Veil Collide With the Sky
same as Go Radio |
5 | | Architects Daybreaker
strong record, definitely the best from them too, last song not my cup of tea though |
4 | | Wolves At the Gate Captors
every single song is excellent, so much consistency |
3 | | Circa Survive Violent Waves
you have to love this as a Circa fan, so beautiful as a whole, but no "single" |
2 | | I The Mighty Karma Never Sleeps
you have to listen to this over and over again, I love this EP, so strong |
1 | | Make Do and Mend Everything You Ever Loved
never, and really never thought this would reach my heart as it did, so perfect from the first spin I did, this artwork, their lyrics, his voice, the melodies, and actually this is not my favorite genre, was impressed by their "Part and Parcel EP" but this is just...wow, perfect summer record, I will get a tattoo with one of their lyrics, I swear, just don't know yet which line it will be, but I really love everything about this record, will always be one of my favorites of all time |
