Yeah they were great and ahead of their time, but ffs why are all top 10 lists a bunch of bands from the past, music has evolved." Its just because of influence. In any list for any genre the bands who started said genre are usually at the top. Rightfully so since they laid the foundations down. Some band that came out in 2008 isnt really going to jump ahead of the Beatles anytime soon. Basically lists are all subjective so it just makes things easier to put the older bands at the top.
