8 Follow-ups I'm Excited For In 2013
Here are some artists I like that are (purportedly) coming out with new rrecords next year. |
8 | | Tyler, the Creator Goblin
Not only will 'WOLF' be a talking point for just about everyone who listens to rap, but it
has the potential to actually be a sonic progression from Tyler's older stuff. |
7 | | Vampire Weekend Contra
That one live song they played wasn't too good, but I loved Contra enough to give it the
benefit of the doubt. |
6 | | MGMT Congratulations
Maybe this year? |
5 | | My Bloody Valentine Loveless
I shouldn't have to explain why this is exciting. |
4 | | Earl Sweatshirt Doris
Bar maybe "Oldie," "Chum" was the best rap song Odd Future's ever put out. Really
excited to hear how Somoa influenced Earl. |
3 | | The Roots undun
Every album from The Roots is an event. undun was one of their best. They've still got it. |
2 | | Atoms for Peace Amok
I've been grooving to "Default" since the day it came out. Can't wait for more. (Not
technically a follow-up, but whatever.) |
1 | | Madvillain Madvillainy
I'm nervous about this one, mostly because I don't want the legacy of that one brilliant
album to be tainted. But then I'm not nervous, because it's Doom and Madlib. |
