12.26.12 | - Mogwai really are not that great overall, at least by post-rock standards. "Young Team" is incredible, however, but that's really their only masterpiece, where as bands like Godspeed and Sigur Ros have multiple records of "masterpiece" calibre.
- I think to get "The '59 Sound" you have to have a taste for pop punk and really melodic punk bands like The Menzingers. This applies similarly to Japandroids except for the garage punk part of their sound. |
