The Afterman: Ascension
I was not dissapointed by this album one bit. Coheed delivers with this perfect
blend of upbeat, fun and sometimes heavy songs alongside slow and majestic
tracks which together make up my favorite album of the year. | | 2 |  | Converge
All We Love We Leave Behind
I am a fairly new Converge fan, my introduction to them was their album Jane Doe.
I've heard from most that Jane Doe is 'the' Converge album, the album which every
other album needs to try to beat. Well, I feel as though All We Love We Leave
Behind *might* just accomplish that. This is a fast pace, in your face heavy hitting
album that does not lose momentum for even close to a second throughout it's

Time I
I have been patiently awaiting this album for about six years now. I was expecting
something similar to the debut, but I got something far different. This is probably
the biggest and grand sounding album of 2012, very symphonic sounding. I'm still
not quite sure if it lived up to my expectations, but as an album, I still love it. | | 4 |  | Alcest
Les Voyages De L Ame
Most people I have talked to say that this is one of their least favorite Alcest
release. They don't necessarily say that it's bad, but that it just isn't as good as
the others. I have to disagree, really. This album is beautiful, blending in forms of
Shoegaze, Black Metal and Post Metal. The growls in this album are superb, and the

Portal of I
Ohhhh man. This album, this FUCKING album. There really isn't a whole lot for me to
say, really. This album is heavy, fast and powerful. It has it soft moments, which
are usually just buildup to the heaviness that is Ne Obliviscaris. Also, the violin in
this album is used perfectly in accordance to the rest of the music. I cannot wait
