| Top 10 Albums Of 2012
The best albums that came out this year. Next year I'll change my mind completely but ok. | 1 | | This Routine Is Hell Repent. Repeat.
It's rare to find an hardcore band that still has so much to say in 2012. This short EP from Holland is angry, short, passionate and with great lyrics. | 2 | | The Menzingers On the Impossible Past
I would have never expected this to be THAT good. So many perfect punk rock songs in this one. | 3 | | Beau Navire Lumens
Maybe their previous work was a bit better, but this is still the best screamo album of the year, and that wasn't easy. | 4 | | The Gaslight Anthem Handwritten
Of course this is not their best album, but they can really do no wrong, it seems. | 5 | | Vowel All the Sad Songs
The best surprise of the year! Awesome songwriting, and the violin adds something more. | 6 | | Chambers La Mano Sinistra
A great italian band. They used to sing in english, this is their first album in italian and it's so much better. The fourth track is one of the best songs I've heard in a while. | 7 | | Joyce Manor Of All Things I Will Soon Grow Tired
Their s/t was a masterpiece, but I really enjoyed this one too. | 8 | | Trachimbrod A Collection of Hidden Sketches
Screamo/Post-rock from Sweden, a nice surprise. The first half of the album is so good. | 9 | | Fine Before You Came Ormai
One of the best bands in Italy, I guess we could call this... emo. I think. Check them out. | 10 | | The Tidal Sleep The Tidal Sleep
Awesome post-hardcore/screamo band from Germany! The last song, "Tiburon", is the best song of the year in my opinion. | |
YankeeDudel

12.12.12 | props for #8
great release | taxidermist
12.12.12 | Joyce Manor's s/t a masterpiece? I mean, I like it, but come onnn. Also OATIWSGT as your #7? There's been better albums this year, man. Or maybe you didn't hear a lot of albums this year, and that's totally fine :) |
