12.10.12 | I already have a Les Paul, this would just be an addition to my collection |
milkwizard
12.10.12 | well, since the 2 one doesnt appear to exist, id go with the strat, i love my american standard strat |
XingKing
12.10.12 | Jaguar |
XingKing
12.10.12 | 2 exists, it just has a random space in it. |
milkwizard
12.10.12 | there is a difference between a jaguar and a jaguarillo |
lyzakthellama
12.10.12 | there fixed the link sorry |
XingKing
12.10.12 | I know there is a difference but I didn't feel like typing the Illo. I still say the Jag. |
milkwizard
12.10.12 | both are great, id say go into a store and play each of them to decide, buying guitars online is a bad idea, i always like being able to play the guitar to know that it feels how i want it to feel before buying it, and making sure there is no problem with the frets or hardware |
milkwizard
12.10.12 | also, seeing which you think sounds better |
lyzakthellama
12.10.12 | Thats the thing, I have played them both and love them both. I would be happy with either I'm just looking for something to make one seem more appealing. I go in to the store and play them both at least once a week |
XingKing
12.10.12 | Milk is correct. Never buy a guitar that you haven't played. |
XingKing
12.10.12 | Well if that's the case, just get the cheaper one. You'll be equally as happy and have more money to boot. |
milkwizard
12.10.12 | well they both, jaguar is more hipstery, if thats what you want, strats are just classic, so up to you, cant go wrong with either, fender makes great products |
lyzakthellama
12.10.12 | Ya thats true. I'm leaning towards the jag just cause of the lower price |
menawati
12.10.12 | get a tele |
XingKing
12.10.12 | I'd suggest a tele too but since he only gave us two options, the jag is the way to go in my opinion. What do you play Menawati? |
guitarnater
12.10.12 | I'm currently looking at 2 minus the rosewood, maple for me. However, I'm also considering the deluxe. |
menawati
12.10.12 | an old jap tele, and a hamer les paul junior copy |
eternium
12.10.12 | Depends on what you are trying to play.
I'd love a Jaguar myself. The Jaguarillo is kinda neat looking. |
guitarnater
12.10.12 | ew japs |
menawati
12.10.12 | its an old 1980's one i bought off a friend for 60 pounds, he'd changed the pickups and mucked around with it, solid wood, great maple neck and sounds better than american standards ive played in shops |
lyzakthellama
12.10.12 | what all do you guys play? and @eternium I like the Jaguarillo because it has 2 single coils and then one atomic humbucker which I feel makes it more versatile than a standard Jaguar. It feels great while playing also |
guitarnater
12.10.12 | polish a turd
nah, I'm just messin' sounds cool bro |
menawati
12.10.12 | hehe yea i know what u mean, but honestly the quality of the original japanese fenders was pretty high, just love it bcos first guitar and it's all battered an that |
XingKing
12.10.12 | The Japanese actually made good guitars back in the 80s. I play a Jackson Kelly KE3. Looks like shit, plays like a dream and has an absolutely killer tone. |
menawati
12.10.12 | dearly love to own a 335 but can't afford it |
lyzakthellama
12.10.12 | Me too dude, I would love to have any kind of semi-hollow some day |
milkwizard
12.10.12 | i know how you feel menawati, gibson makes some beautiful hollowbody guitars, 355 is the one i want |
demigod!
12.10.12 | i really need a new guitar
i grew out of my epiphone a few years ago lmao |
KotoFtw
12.10.12 | I'd go for the Jaguarillo. Swag and Yolo. |
mifzal
12.10.12 | Air guitar. think about it !
1. you don't have to tune it,
2. it's highly portable, light weight
3. indestructible
|
XingKing
12.10.12 | It also doesn't produce any noise so you never have to actually worry about making music! |
mifzal
12.10.12 | It also doesn't produce any noise so you never have to actually worry about making music!
yeah that too! especially bad music! |
BlueW
12.10.12 | I'd actually buy a squier (classic vibe or vintage modified) or an SX from rondomusic in today's environment, change pickups to sufficient needs. I own a Mexican 72 deluxe tele I think the thing won't last particularly last much no longer the way I play live. and besides most of what you pay when buying a fender is the brand. |
BlueW
12.10.12 | I'm thinking about buying this baby http://www.rondomusic.com/product5535.html |
Thane
12.10.12 | hard choice. i play a fender vintage jag and a gibson sg standard myself, and the jag is just amazing.
tbh i'd go with the strat (having tried both). vintage jag -> all, though |
WhiteNoise
12.10.12 | I have a mexican fender strat and I play the shit out of it even though I have a cherry red Gibson Flying V and Gretsch which are technically the better Guitar soooo just go with what feels right. |
insomniac15
12.10.12 | The Jaguar |
ViperAces
12.10.12 | Im using the american standart, its pretty good. |
ButteryBiscuitBass
12.10.12 | Go with the jaguarillo. |
bloc
12.10.12 | I'd recommend the cheaper one.
No offense, but you really need to figure out if you will be a serious player or not. There's no point spending lots on a pricey guitar and then finding out you don't really play anymore a few months later. |
lyzakthellama
12.11.12 | @bloc lol I have been playing for a long time now... I have no plans on quitting anytime soon. I've owned cheaper guitars and this is my next step in to more expensive, stronger sounding equipment. |
