Makes Me Sad

Musicians who's artistic vision was cut short. The artists in this list have put out rincredible classics yet.. what direction could they have taken from there? Makes me sad rthat we can never know.
1Dennis Wilson
Pacific Ocean Blue

This story makes me sad the most. Too me Dennis Wilson has more soul and sadness in his voice
than any other singer I've ever heard. Example: http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=xKcrdGULvbw.
His sadness stemmed from an abusive father, interactions with Charles Manson, Alcohol, and in my
opinion a sociopathic bandmate by the name of Mike Love. All put together created something
beautiful in the way he sang. Originally a drummer for the Beach Boys and later a prime songwriter
for the group, which I relate to because I'm a drummer but also a singer and guitarist. He died early
due to a drowning accident as a result of his alcoholism. He had only put out this one solo album
and had started a second unfinished album called 'Bambu'. All I hear in these both efforts is great
potential. Who knows what incredible music he would have put out today if he were still alive.
2Jeff Buckley
Grace

Here is an obvious one and I'm sure a fan favorite on sputnik and the world. Put out one incredible
classic and a second unfinished sketch of an album which is great too. Coincedentally he too
drowned. While this makes me sad, we did get a classic effort from him but I still don't think that
it's enough. He was an artist with many more tricks up his sleeve and wanted to challenge himself
and change his sound. It could be that he would have put out something even greater than 'Grace'.
It could be. Shit just makes me sad.
3Brian Wilson
Smile

No Brian Wilson (brother of Dennis Wilson) did not die. This guy is still putting out music to this day,
great music. The man behind The Beach Boys, and the man that sadly lost his mind. After 'Pet
Sounds' was finished Brian went back into the studio to create his masterpiece 'Smile'. But
unfortunatly all the pressure he put on himself got the best of him and he fucking lost it. He really
was never the same sadly and Smile was left unfinished and the sessions were only just released in
2011. Even though he has great albums under his belt, it still makes me sad. After his breakdown
the rest of the Beach Boys took the songwriting role and made some great material even with a
shattered Brian Wilson. But what would it've been like if he wouldn't have gone nuts? Whay kind of
incredible sounds would the group as a whole create? God only knows. I mean the beatles were
pumping out great album after great album. I believe this would have been the same case with the
beach boys. 'Pet Sounds' was the true beginning of the Beach Boys artistic vision as was 'Rubber
Soul'. So this whole scenario just makes me sad.

There are obvious others, but these are those that I care about the most. Care to add?
