Do'nt feel like you've lost and don't start smoking again. 3) drink lots of water 4) practice lots of sports the first half year while you're quitting, the endorphines will act as a substitue for nicotine. 5) go cold turkey 6) inform yourself before quitting, read everything there is to know about it, from scientific points of view to personal experiences from others. 7)Try to not get to drunk while you're in the presence of smokers. 8) while alone at home and you crave a cigarette, have a beer instead.

MO 12.06.12	my brothers been using one of those e-cigarettes. basically you're inhaling vapour with a little bit of nicotine, worked like a charm for him. then as you get further along you can get attachments with less and less nicotine until you're at zero you can charge it through you computer too heh

omnipanzer 12.06.12	The only problems with the e-cig I'm aware of is the Cheep Chinese knock-off batteries that explode... don't buy those. There was also a question of the e-juice (nic-juice) having other chemicals and being un-regulated but I've had no problems with either of those.

liledman 12.07.12	I quit after I got a cold and didn't smoke for a few days (always hated smoking while I was sick), and it was quite painless. I wasn't the heaviest of smokers, but still, it's easier than you think to just drop it. If you can guilt yourself out of temptation then it is fine.
menawati 12.07.12	You cannot remove the chemical addictiveness quickly but you can stomp on the habitual addictiveness. I quit by forcing myself not to have cigs placed at the desk or at any place I usually smoked and also used the opposite hand to normal. I found my intake dropped quite dramatically and within a week I was smoking 4 or 5 a day instead of 12-15. After that it was pretty easy to quit totally.
Minus. 12.07.12	nicotine gum worked for me. I smoked for years and finally decided to quit. I havent smoked in 4 years now.
