| Quit My Band Today
Our one guitarist forgot how to play our new songs before we went into
the studio, so the other guitarist recorded all of the guitar tracks. Myself,
our bassist, and drummer immediately expressed that we wanted to get
rid of the shitty guitarist and get a better guitarist we know who plays
similar music to join, and progress the band. Unfortunately, our main
songwriter is kind of a control freak and thinks that a band should be a
business venture, and refuses to kick out the other guitarist because he's
contributing money to pay for a manager. Myself and our bassist quit,
because we're a fucking unknown metalcore band, why would we need a
manager? Like wtf? Anywho, now I'm doing vocals in a post rock/black
metal band and I'm way more excited about it. List is bands I think their

12.04.12 | They've been around for two years, their singer/guitarist moved to Philly though, so they asked me to do vocals and got a friend to do second guitar.
Also, my old band's bassist is this band's drummer.
Also, I forgot to mention our one guitarist posted a passive aggressive facebook status about like the bassist "holding us back", but dig this recording he's a great bassist:

12.04.12 | Wow it's crazy how similar of a situation i was in almost exactly a year ago. I was in this ambient/post-hardcore band and we went into the studio and one of our guitarists was obviously a weak link. He couldn't play any of his parts on time so we ended up not using hardly any of his tracks and recording them between the rest of us and the producer. The guitarist was kind of a control freak (we are still good friends) and was really into being super committed to the band and trying to go places. A guy who was more into similar music joined shortly after we recorded but then myself and the bassist quit. Now we have a new band playing kind of midwestern emo/shoegaze kind of stuff. | witchxrapist
