Yeah sure, there will still raids under his first term, but like you said they were far less than under Bush. Also, during his first term he had to worry about re-election and therefore in order to appeal to the more moderate elements of society he continued enforcing federal anti-drug law. If he had completely stopped he may have lost their support. Now that he no longer needs to worry about re-election, he'll probably crack down on marijuana even less than during his first term. I'm not endorsing Obama or anything, I'm just stating my opinion on what I think he'll do. |
