11.05.12 | I don't know the first thing about drumming, but Jawbox's 'For Your Own Special Sweetheart' and self-titled album seem like they'd be really fun to drum to. Zach Barocas is an incredible drummer and sorely underrated. Give'em a listen:
FYOSS - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F_p-WwpCyjQ

11.05.12 | "Listed 5 incredibly easy albums, ok"
5 isn't easy at all, neither is 1 really. Besides, I never said they were difficult, these are just albums that are incredibly fun to drum to all the way through. |

11.05.12 | fucking hate how my comments go spastic after i edit them. all i wanted to do was throw in a quick 'billy cobham is
unbelievable' and it pulls this crap. I tried to do the whole < break > thing but failed. |

11.05.12 | Aaah what the hell, Mark Zonder, Bobby Jarzombek and me being a former DT fanboy will have to rec Mr. Mike Portnoy. |
OmairSh
11.05.12 | Well genre would matter even if someone was mainly focusing on the drumming. Plus pie charts do give a reasonable idea of music interests that have been rated on the site. |
conesmoke
11.05.12 | i think a 7% grunge sector warranted my recs lol. If you disagree, i diiiiiid throw in such greats as mahavishnu orchestra & genesis. Two (previously unmentioned) non-metal bands with stellar drummers. |
BigPleb
11.05.12 | Any Fear Factory release |
OmairSh
11.05.12 | Drumming's an intrinsic part of the music and I think you could appreciate the drumming if you weren't into the genre but I don't know if you would "enjoy" playing to those songs. Like you could love Bill Bruford's drumming but you wouldn't mind jamming to the yes albums but you might not feel the same way about his Earthwork's jazz work. |

TumsFestival
11.06.12 | Yesssss The Police is amazing for drums. oh, and i agree that it doesn't really matter about music taste when it comes to playing drums, it's very important to know your way around all genres.
