Ecnalzen: New Stuff I've Been Getting Into

Ecnalzen 10.11.12	Been trying to get into more rock and progressive stuff lately. If anybody wants to throw any suggestions my way, go for it.
OmairSh 10.11.12	I haven't heard any of these bands :P. But if its prog you're looking for Riverside is a great band, check out their Second Life Syndrome, or if you like it heavy than ADHD is a prog masterpiece. Porcupine Tree DeadWing and In Absentia are great as well.

Calc 10.11.12	Try a band called Heart To Heart they're an aggressive pop-punk band and adebisi shank is an excellent math rock band

Ecnalzen 10.11.12	Riverside is pretty cool so far, thanks for the rec Omair. It took a bit, but I finally found one song by Heart to Heart on Youtube. It's called "I Slept it Off." I liked it, but the vocalist might be an acquired taste for me. Where did you guys find their stuff? I am having some issues.

tempest-- 10.12.12	3 and 5 are great. I'm doing a music course where a few friends and I had to record a song and we covered "Little Black Submarines" from 4. Haven't heard anything else from the band, but I was hooked by that one song.
Ecnalzen 10.12.12	I was a little late to the aussie rock/progressive explosion that happened some years back. There are some good bands down there. If you like one black keys song Lloyd, I think you would like most of their stuff. They have a very distinguished sound, but their stuff still manages to not all sound the same. Its impressive.
tempest-- 10.12.12	For some more of that sound, check out Sydonia, Closure In Moscow, Breaking Orbit, The Butterfly Effect and Cog. Cheers, will definitely check out The Black Keys then!
Dev518 10.12.12	You might like Fightstar, Cog, The Butterfly Effect, Moving Mountains, Dredg, and/or Fair To Midland. They're all progressive/post-harcore/alt. rock bands. If you're looking to get into pop punk there's a new wave of bands that consists of The Wonder Years, The Story So Far, Fireworks, Transit, and Title Fight. If you like those look into Crucial Dudes and Neck Deep. I checked your ratings to see if I was giving you stuff that you already listened to and I saw that you gave a Deftones album a 2. You should really give them another listen. I didn't like them at first either, and now they are one of my favorites.
Ecnalzen 10.12.12	So far Dev, the one I gave a 2 is the only stuff by them i dont like. I listened to white pony last week on the youtubes and I really enjoyed it. I don't know what it is about wrists, but I could not get into it. Thats the only Cd I actually own by The Deftones which is why its the only thing ive rated by them. Thanks for the recs Lloyd and Dev. The only one of those I have heard of is butterfly effect.
Strider 10.12.12	Well if we're talking about ratings here you should gice Coheed and Cambria another chance. there's no way keeping secrets should be lower than Year of the Black Rainbow... And try Oceansize if you haven't already
Ecnalzen 10.12.12	Ha ha, saw that huh? I don't know, Keeping Secrets is my least favorite so far. YOTBR was the first album I bought by them. I thought it was really good. Ive listened to Secrets several times and I just don't like it as much as their others.
