AStableReference 10.11.12	It gets higher when your ratings are more varied, like if you had a balanced out number of positive and negative ratings in all of the varying degrees. If you have 100% I think you would have to be trying too hard.

Mike08 10.11.12	Only time I really rate something between a 1-3 is when I really listen to the band, and dislike the album. Like Tool- Lateralus would not be above a 2.5 for me. Cause I like Tool, but this album just sucks. Or like Opeth, where I had a real interest in the band a while back.... You need to get a life, or just enjoy good music, if you are striving to raise your ojectivity rating.
sniper 10.11.12	objectivity score is a stupid concept. if anything it should be a measure of how much stuff you like from as many genres as possible, but instead it's a measure of positive vs negative ratings and that's not valuable at all, just leads to dumbasses troll rating to appear more objective when no one gives a fuck in the first place.

sniper 10.11.12	if i have low objectivity because i have a bunch of high ratings for metal albums (because i only listen to metal) and then i go rate a bunch of jazz albums a 1 my objectivity will go UP. that's just absurd.

AStableReference 10.11.12	Most of my lower ratings are albums where a band disappointed me or other people made me listen to them. Often I won't even sit through a new album by a band I like if I sample it and it sounds like I will hate it, unless I really like them. It doesn't seem worth the time.

cailleach 10.21.12	Here for a week. Currently at 82%. At first I thought objectivity was really stupid, but now I tend to say it's pretty reasonable feature. Certainly made me consider spreading my ratings a bit more, and also rating albums I don't totally dig. I think it's utterly ok not to be at 100% for the stated reason that you will mainly listen to music you like. On the other hand, 3.0 is already labeled "good". While "objectivity" might not be the best word for it, I suppose it does help realistic ratings along, because otherwise most people would only rate their favourites, then this rating number would have less meaning, and you'd have to resort to counting "digs" or something like that... Please DON'T just rate random albums low to keep your objectivity up, that makes no sense. Let it go down, you're not getting kicked for having low objectivity (I hope...;).
