Do you just not listen to those artists? Or do you ignore the differences and enjoy the music? |

10.08.12 | when I was 12, I not so secretly liked hollywood undead. never dressed the part though because I had no idea what they were like or who they portrayed themselves to be, just heard some of their music files. funny because such was the case of many other scene bands like bvb and attack attack! (I didn't know their image or music videos, etc) I just really didn't like any of them.
also, their videos lead me to links of older eminem songs so I'm forever thankful for that. |

WashboardSuds
10.09.12 | "I'm instantly turned off by gimmicky bands."

Insurrection
10.09.12 | i can kinda understand cannibal corpse, their album art is what turned me off from them in the first place. the rest i dont care, as long as the music is good i could give a shit what their lyrical themes are/how horrible of a person they are. |
cagedescending
10.09.12 | "I mean really? Is that artwork necessary?"

ChuckyTruant
10.09.12 | Calm down hitler. This list is me seeking advice. And what I mean by appearance is not how they dress but more of just the image they portray |
WashboardSuds
10.09.12 | well me being christian and all sometimes blatantly hateful and offensive lyrics or images turn me off, but also because I'm really turned off by shock value tactics in general |

10.09.12 | Eh, I've never known an artist that I enjoyed who was really for something I was really against or vise-versa, so I can't really speak from experience. However, I think it wouldn't matter, most of the time. Yeah, if a band was using their profits to, I dunno, fund banning all gay marriage ever, yeah I'd avoid it. But if it's either something I care less about or they don't use their profits for that purpose, yeah, I'm fine with it. |
ThroneOfAgony
10.09.12 | I'm a Christian but I don't go to church, if that makes any sense
Imagery doesn't matter to me. If it has offensive religious topics but the musics good then I don't really care tbh |
ChuckyTruant
10.09.12 | Yeah washboards, shit like that makes me feel threatened. |

10.09.12 | I'm just curious as to why Ihsahn not being a 'good man' would affect whether you appreciate his art. Case in point would be Wagner I guess; people still listen to him, despite his personal beliefs and actions, among many others. Same deal with Chris Brown really. |
Cygnatti
10.09.12 | "I'm instantly turned off by gimmicky bands."
I love gimmicky bands. At least in pop punk because it keeps it from being as homogeneous and boring as pop punk usually is. |

ChuckyTruant

10.09.12 | I am christian but my problem with bands praising satan is the fact that its cheap shock value. and it irks me that people have to try so hard to get attention. the satan thing is just one popular example of that. if I knew a band talked about raping babies i'd feel the same way |
