what bands have the coolest evolution of their sound? like they started as rsomething insanley rfuckin kickass but then! they evolved into something reven better and entirely different.

Death is kind of a obvious choice, but way fucking neccassary. I mean chuck went
from one of the catchiest death metal albums of all time...of all time to making one
of the most meaningful and rifftastic masterpieces of all time. whatta boss \m/!

Don't know what their new album sounds like yet, but they're fucking neurosis so
I'm sure they've evolved in some glorious way and also they are fucking neurosis
and should go on as many lists as possible.

I know some people might bash me for this one, but you have to admit the
transformation from the relatively simple undertow to the beyond complex beyond
amazing sound of Lateralus and the 10,000 days is beyond impressive.

I haven't delved into these dudes discography as much as I should, but from what I
can tell these brosephs went all the way from extreme black metal to folk then
back again....and then they had sex with electronics or something, definitely
interesting band.

Similar to Ulver with the epic black metal sounds....but then they added some juicy
prog and tool like cleans and BOOM you have Masterpieces like Vertebrae and
Axioma. Also can't wait for their new one' its gonna be tits \m/!!
