| Top Albums Of 1985 |
| 10 | | Anthrax Spreading the Disease
Doesn't come close to touching Among the Living, but it's still a pretty solid album. |
| 9 | | The Misfits Legacy of Brutality
Always had a thing for this album, ever since middle school. Doesn't have as many memorable songs as some of their other albums, but I've always love the overall feeling of it. |
| 8 | | Celtic Frost To Mega Therion
Before Tom Warrior seemingly lost his mind (like right after this album), he released To Mega Therion. Some pretty awesome tunes on here, too bad it was a precursor to so much shitty music. |
| 7 | | Clan of Xymox Clan of Xymox
One of the earlier albums to start the darkwave scene, I've always liked Clan of Xymox. Dark and moody, pretty nice stuff. |
| 6 | | The Jesus and Mary Chain Psychocandy
One of the classics from the Post-Punk era, this album is really good. |
| 5 | | Armored Saint Delirious Nomad
Before John Bush joined Anthrax, his vehicle was Armored Saint. These guys had some hit and miss shit, but this is a definite hit and probably their best album. |
| 4 | | Megadeth Killing Is My Business...And Business is Good
Megadeth at one point was one of my favourite bands. Since Dave Mustaine has essentially lost his mind and won't let the whole Metallica thing go, I pretty much can't stand them anymore. His slew of new garbage doesn't help either. This one is a classic though. |
| 3 | | Dire Straits Brothers in Arms
Knopfler really did it with this album. Has some more poppy songs like Walk of Life, but the whole album really seems to have a weird brooding feeling about it. Kind of like the same feeling that pervades Synchronicity. |
| 2 | | Iron Maiden Live After Death
Their best live album tied with Rock in Rio, not a whole lot to say I don't think. They play a bunch of classics, and only the way Iron Maiden can. |
| 1 | | Tom Waits Rain Dogs
Really bizarre album, I like Swordfishtrombones better, but this one is still amazing. Singapore is such a sweet song. |
