And you thought Spiritual Unity was noisy and out there? Well I guess this one doesn't exactly take it to a whole new level, but Ayler absolutely revels in his free jazz roots on this one.
Considered putting Meditations here, but went with Ascension instead. Like Meditations, this one was very important...and very noisy. Maybe not quite as memorable as some of the stuff on Meditations.
Toss up between this and Ascension, I think I went with this because it was the first piece of free jazz I really came to appreciate. I wouldn't put it in my top 5 Coltrane albums, but it's still good and very influential. Very noisy. The Father, The Son, and The Holy Ghost might be the best track on the album.
