Foo Fighters Ranked (again)

These lists are getting really boring, so I decided to make one myself.

Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace

Despite some obvious highlights like the Pretender and Let It Die, this is by far the most
dissapointing Foo Fighers album. The songs are listenable, but they lack the signature Foo
Fighters energy.

There Is Nothing Left To Lose

An attempt at a more mainstream rock sound, Learn To Fly is incredibly cheesy and
receives way too much phrase. Stacked Actors and Generator are win though.

One by One

The most inconsistent Foo Fighters record. Some of the Foos heaviest material is here like All My
Life and Low and some awesome drumming (Dave let Hawkins to his own thing on this one) and
some hidden gems like Come Back and Lonely as You. Unfortunately there's also plenty of filler, I
believe the Foos were having a Tough time ath the moment.

Foo Fighters

Amazing and raw debut, some of their best material right here. Still, the execution lacks
and the sound hasn't yet been refined, it's clear that Dave at the time didn't the
direction of his project.

In Your Honor

A valiant attempt at a double album. It's hardly perfect, but the band sounds as
comfortable as ever and the direction the band was trying to take is clear. Dave himself
said it's the album he's most proud of and wants to be remembered by.

The Colour and the Shape

Fan favourite and a modern classic. So why is it not number 1? The Foos were always
"Dave's band", but though to this being one of the earlier Foo Fighters records this is a bit
more apparent here. And the flow the album lacks from time to time.

Wasting Light

It's just stunning that after so many years the Foo's came rocking with their most powerful
and energetic release yet. It's a very consistent and FUN record especially at points where
TCATS slows down. Some of the tracks are bit derivative true, but the end is result is
fantastic.
