Overrated Albums

This list depicts albums that I consider to be overrated, not solely here, but in a general way.
1Megadeth
Rust in Peace

Oh yes, sir. So if we replace aggression and intensity with speed metal worship guitar soloing we've got the greatest metal album of all time. May I disagree sir?
2Metallica
Master of Puppets

The measurement by which the word "overrated" is defined.
3Converge
Jane Doe

Okay, here comes something that may surprise many people here: I used to dig Converge in HS. However, even back then I couldn't dig this album too much. Why? Everything that's not instrument-related here sucks.
4AC/DC
Back in Black

A solid hard rock album? Yes. Anything else? No. This is far from being the utter masterpiece people regard it as.
5Meshuggah
Nothing

So Meshuggah wimped out hard here and this is their best album? This is nowhere as chaotic and technical as their previous albums.
6Machine Head
The Blackening

So this is their best album? Really bro?
7 Metallica
Lulu

OK, I know it sounds weird this is here considering how trashed it has been, however for some reason there are people claiming that this will be revered as a classic in twenty years. I have no idea of what they're talking about.
8Napalm Death
Scum

Makes New American Gospel sound like a well-produced album.
9Chimaira
The Infection

This album has 3 great songs. That's it. All the rest is more radio-friendly than proggy.
10Pantera
Cowboys from Hell

First of all, this was not the first groove thrash album, as we all know. Second, if Pantera hadn't released anything before this and had called it quits after 1996, this would be my least favourite of their albums.
11Lamb of God
Sacrament

People in Sputnik generally trash this band, but it is fairly common for the mainstream press to regard this as their best album. I wanna know what's inside their heads.
12 Emmure
Emmure

So some pseudo-intellectual idiots once told me that "I wanna see you suck his dick" is a reference to the act of trading oral sex for drugs, and as a consequence Frankie Palmeri's lyrics should be discussed in the same breath as films and books documenting the psychological suffering of drug abuse. Now excuse me while I laugh my ass out.
13Municipal Waste
The Art of Partying

It's fun and it's thrashy. Anything else is not meant to be taken seriously.
14 Norma Jean
Bless the Martyr and Kiss the Child

Boringbreakdowncore passing as cult music. Good luck.
15Baroness
Yellow and Green

Probably the weakest sludge metal I've ever heard.
