| Fershizzle Has It Wrong.
Well, not on all counts, but my list is more correct than his. Because I said so. Also, mine's longer. So THERE. | 1 | | Radiohead OK Computer
Track after track of genius, why even lie. Greatest album of the 90s. Best tracks: Paranoid Android, Lucky, Karma Police | 2 | | Radiohead Kid A
Some flaws, but an amazingly cohesive album that was darker and more experimental than anything they'd previously released. Best tracks: How to Disappear Completely, The National Anthem, Idioteque | 3 | | Radiohead The Bends
They include this one in the "Holy Trinity" for a reason - mostly because it's a super-tight Rock album with some truly great highlights. Best tracks: Just, Fake Plastic Trees, Spirit Street (Fade Out) | 4 | | Radiohead In Rainbows
Way more even than HTTT, and consistently interesting throughout. There aren't much in the way of big highlights and stand-out moments, but no track is a letdown. Best tracks: Weird Fishes/Arpeggi, Nude, House Of Cards | 5 | | Radiohead Hail To The Thief
More of a collection of songs than an album, but for all the low points there are some damn incredible tracks. The album is rather musically diverse, and the whole experience is a bit lacking in focus. Best tracks: 2+2=5. (The Lukewarm.), Where I End and You Begin. (The Sky is Falling in.), There There. (The Boney King of Nowhere.) | 6 | | Radiohead I Might Be Wrong [Live Recordings]
Oh how I do so want to see this band live. Until I do, I shall subsist on things like this album, providing unique takes on their 2000-2001 material. Some of the live takes are even better than the originals, some not. Best tracks: Like Spinning Plates, True Love Waits, Idioteque | 7 | | Radiohead My Iron Lung EP
A great portrait of a band in transit, with an interesting selection of songs. Best tracks: The Trickster, My Iron Lung, Permanent Daylight | 8 | | Radiohead Amnesiac
Rather uneven, but still quite compelling. It's one of their shorter albums, though it feels a bit drawn out somehow, but there are some real winners on the disc. Best tracks: Pyramid Song, Life in a Glasshouse, I Might Be Wrong | 9 | | Radiohead The Astoria London Live 27/5/94 [DVD]
Again, until I actually see them live, this will have to do - though I don't think the world will ever witness a Radiohead concert like this one again in any way, shape, or form. Best performances: Street Spirit (Fade Out), My Iron Lung, Maquiladora | 10 | | Radiohead Pablo Honey
Easily their worst album, since they still just wanted to be famous at this point and weren't about to revolutionize music anytime soon. Not on purpose, anyway. And what was with Thom's hair? Yet still, a good album. Best tracks: You, Creep, Stop Whispering | |

10.29.07 | For the main LPs, put 3 below 4 and i completely agree.
*high fives spectrum* | Serpento
10.29.07 | People keep thinking OK is better than Kid A... | fershizzle
10.29.07 | there is no way 6 or 7 (EPs, my good man) is better than Amnesiac. after you listen to amnesiac for a while, it really grows on you. its darker, and definetly weirder than Kid A. Also, some say it doesn't flow, but that's the point of the album. its the choppiness that adds to the uncertain atmosphere of the album.
the bends while it has some of my favorite radiohead songs (fake plastic trees, street spirit), most of it sounds of generic brit-pop balladry.
what flaws does kid A have? maybe treefingers. Optimistic is the only other track i could see anyone having a problem with, but i still love it. but OK (whilst containing masterpieces such as paranoid android and no surprises) had some real bummers. the last two tracks, lucky and the tourist especially. | theminustimes
10.29.07 | kid a is the best radiohead album by far | fershizzle
10.29.07 | also, where would com lag rank for you? i would put it right after the bends. | Spectrum
10.29.07 | OKC was my first Radiohead album, and it still holds a special place in my heart for that. Plus, I'm a big fan of the last two tracks - for some reason, they just work for me. Kid A is a genius album, to be sure, though it's a bit glacial. Really, it's an absolutely fantastic album, but it will never beat OKC for me simply because of how much I love the album that introduced me to the band I've come to know and love.
Amnesiac has definitely grown on me since I first listened to it, but I still like the live renditions of a lot of the songs better, especially "Like Spinning Plates" - beautiful live performance. The Bends is an album that I think deserves proper context, since a lot of artists would take Brit-pop balladry cues from it, and I marvel at the way they pulled off a three-guitar texture with such dexterity. It's also such an incredible step forward from Pablo Honey, I'm still amazed they only came out two years apart.
I'm ashamed to admit that I've never actually heard Com Lag. Also, I only called you out because you recently made this list and that gave me an excuse to make one too =P | MrKite
10.29.07 | Street Spirit**** | Electric City
10.29.07 | This is so incorrect. | fershizzle
10.29.07 | its cool man, i didnt take offence.
Com lag is a mixed bag.
when i said i put it after the bends, i meant on my list, just for clarification.
the three best songs on it are: gagging order, paperbag writer and fog (again)(live)
fog(again) is an excellent take on the creepy knives out b-side fog. both are worth downloading though.
im a big radiohead nerd, ive downloaded almost all b-sides and rarities and whatnot floating around, esp. the kid a era and beyond | Spectrum
10.29.07 | I'm a big Radiohead nerd myself, but there are still lots of things I need to listen to. I've heard Fog (Again) on one of the Go To Sleep b-side, and it's a seriously great song. I think I downloaded the complete collection of b-sides and rarities sometime ago, so I'll have to look into these matters more. |
