I hate Calculus, Chemistry (I love the subject matter but the courses here at OSU are crazy intense) and probably will hate Physics too.
On another note, great profile picture. Listening to that album now. |

08.11.12 | Seriously art class is great. I took "Multimedia art" at my high school and the teacher gave out grades on a scale of how much she enjoyed you being in class. You're at OSU? My friend is so pumped to go there. I think chemistry is interesting, but its ridiculously hard. I've taken a business law elective, yeah it blows.

Uranium
08.11.12 | well based on the fact that you need a minimum 3.0 - higher to get into most grad schools you might want to keep it high if you're trying to get a higher education |

08.11.12 | oh. statistics sucks too, i think you guys call stats calc, not too sure. |
JackSparrow
08.11.12 | True. Statistics is like proportion tests and chi-square tests, confidence intervals. Calculus is more advanced trigonometry and functions |
eternium
08.11.12 | Statistics and calculus are totally different. Statistics is much easier. |

Well, I live in Georgia so I get the HOPE scholarship that pays for 90% of my tuition if I keep a 3.0. I currently have a 3.58 and want it even higher just for the sake of being awesome. |

08.12.12 | Yo Jack I am in the same boat as you having to take Calculus Business, I barley got by with tutor help in high school and i hadn't taken a math course in a year going into university. With studying managed to pull off a 15% before i dropped the course. I have to retake it as it is required for my program but I highly suggest getting a tutor for it as it is probably cheaper and more time efficient to get a tutor than take the course again. |
JackSparrow
08.12.12 | Wow that sounds just like me Funeral, damn that would really suck to fail and repeat the course. I would get a tutor or take a pre-calc course if I dont see the class going well. I live in New York so I had to take the Mathematics B Regents Exam, which is notoriously hard. I passed but I don't remember any of it |
Uranium
08.12.12 | What sucks about our math system is that in high school the teachers give you a lecture and expect you to do the assigned in problems; yet in college, you have to read your text book and all of its sly notation to teach yourself what the teachers quickly seem to breeze over. |

I love algebra and hated geometry. I took pre-cal this past year and it seemed easy enough, but my teacher kicked ass so it might be that. I'm taking calculus this coming year with what should be the same teacher so I should be good. |

08.12.12 | highest level of math i had to take is pre-cal. 4 years of college without math is going to be brilliant |
JackSparrow
08.12.12 | I have never liked math, but I like economics so I'll see how things go. If its that's bad I'll take a beginners or remedial course to get back up to speed for calculus. All I'm doing this year is taking a film photography class and public speaking. Gonna be relaxing and nice. Considering I'm only interested in photojournalism/photography and that's really where my chief skill set is, I'm going for it. College can't help me anyway. Literally everything I know, I have taught myself. I'm not exaggerating. So, I'm just gonna take what I know and go with it.
Math sucks though bro, I always hated it. |

DocSportello
08.12.12 | Yeah, dude, I'm an English major and still want to go back in time and strangle ye olde bastard Geoff for wasting a semester of my life on not just the Canterbury Tales but almost every goddamn thing he ever wrote or translated, most of which is utter self-indulgent poop. I imagine Chaucer as the Pinocchio of dicks, and every time he uses the grand-description-of-things-too-grand-to-describe-ineffability trope his giant throbbing olde cock grows another inch until he finally can fuck himself up the ass, thus impregnating his own self ouroboros-style to become a real lad. Whew. |
JackSparrow
08.12.12 | That's how I feel about Charles Dickens to be honest, just say it already stop using so many goddamn adjectives. Yeah stoichiometry is a nightmare, I used to like chemistry until it got so physics-intensive. I feel bad for people that have to struggle through physics, I've never had to take it |

08.12.12 | Just goes to show what I know, not even the formula that's the only hope of passing a trig exam. I like so many subjects, history, english, politics. Just so happens that the one I like the most (economics) requires intensive math. I don't mind practical math, just the ridiculous trig functions that really do not help on a day to day basis |

08.12.12 | English is cool when you're doing what you like about it, I mean grammar sucks a ton. My English teacher senior year of hs had us watch V for Vendetta and write about the symbolism and themes it was really cool how much he was into it |
PuddlesPuddles
08.12.12 | Math and English were very easy for me, history was the most fun, and forensics the most useful. The subject I hated the most was... Communications. I'm really good at giving and memorizing speeches, but I'd be lying if I said I liked doing it. |
mindleviticus
08.12.12 | Speaking of V for Vendetta, I just finished a graphic novel right now called "Laika" and it was so sad that I started bawling and my mom came in wondering what the hell I was crying about. Look it up. ;P |

08.12.12 | The subjects I hate the most are probably all of the elective courses. They're boring as hell and you

08.12.12 | No way electives rule haha I took a cooking class my senior year of high school, damn right I know how to measure brown sugar correctly. Communications is hardly interesting but it's definitely useful. Public speaking is that thing no one ever learns but it's a great skill to know. I'll check it out mindlevicticus |

08.12.12 | Out of all, I think I probably hated Spanish class most. I didn't mind the actual subject. However, my teacher was bloody crazy. I remember, one day in class, she just started crying. Another day, she suddenly got really angry (even though we were all silently working on a worksheet.), slammed her book, and ran away. We didn't see her for half an hour, until we saw her running laps around the parking lot out the window. It was bizarre. |

08.12.12 | I took German from 7th grade until 12th grade. My German teacher found out she was getting laid off the next year halfway through senior year so she stopped caring and let us do whatever. I knew enough German to get by when I was in Germany for vacation so I can't complain. I've heard Spanish gets really hard at higher levels, is that true? German is pretty easy. And no way I can't handle dying animals, that's always the worst in movies |

08.12.12 | I thought about majoring in Permaculture once. Would've been freaking interesting. But I would've gotten tired of the political propaganda. I'm just going on my own road now. Gotta start selling photos... YO. It's gonna be a pain in the butt to get out there though. |

08.12.12 | Grammar is the only thing I liked about latin. Memorizing words is a pain. |
North0House2
08.12.12 | "What do you photograph?"
Ah, I photography nearly everything- primarily landscapes. But when I go into cities (which is rare these days.) I like to kinda capitalize on how destructive mankind is to both the environment and himself. I've recently gotten into taking photos with my lens detached from the camera body. I need to practice that in the city. Next is to build a camera using a flat computer scanner as the image capture device. So, we'll see. |

08.12.12 | I really appreciate good photos, it makes me mad with this whole Instagram thing. I was in Lebanon, Ohio the other weekend visiting family. It's country-ish outside of Cincinnati. Really nice scenery for photos. Sounds cool though man |

08.12.12 | Oh and calculus isn't bad. Just remember all of your derivatives, and integral short cuts and techniques. Limits aren't that bad either. View every question as, "ok what techniques do I need to apply to this in order to get the solution". Its all very mechanical. And the trig isn't too bad. The trig gets tough in calc 2 when you start doing real integrals. |
North0House2
08.12.12 | Awesome man, same here. I still need buttloads of practice though lol. Oh I totally agree, the Instagram "I took a photo of a flower and put it on facebook omg I'm a photographer" crap really drives me up a wall.
