Skelethon Ranked
Aesop's latest album is really fun to analyze, so I'm ranking all of its songs. |
| 15 | Band Ruby '81
An attempt at a narrative should be admired for originality's sake on an album like
Skelethon, but Ruby's easily the most boring track here. |
| 14 | Crows 1
That glitchy beat, and those annoying vocals. |
| 13 | Homemade Mummy
I like how the track lurches, but it's outdone by so many other tracks. |
| 12 | Crows 2
A really fun track, but it doesn't blend in the album as it should. |
| 11 | 1,000 O'clock
1,000 is outshined in the long run, but I love how dark it is. This is what the
average Aesop song should be like. |
| 10 | Leisureforce
Leisureforce is decidedly optimistic - to a fault, even. |
| 9 | Tetra
Too long for its own good, but still sweet. |
| 8 | Racing Stripes
Who can hate on a track about haircuts, besides SilentPotato? |
| 7 | Gopher Guts
The meaningful ending Skelethon deserved. |
| 6 | Grace
What a good time. |
| 5 | ZZZ Top
Best verse ever. |
| 4 | Cycles to Gehenna
The song shines with repeated listens. |
| 3 | Zero Dark Thirty
So much paranoia. |
| 2 | Fryerstarter
That beat's incredible. |
| 1 | Saturn Missiles
Saturn Missiles is haunting, it's versatile, it's unforgettable, and it's one of my
tracks of the year. |
