TheNotrap 07.20.12	One of my favourite series. Need to check the last season tough. Agreed, sometimes Olivia gets pretty boring.
Yuli 07.20.12	I'm just used to Lost, where every character is so dynamic. Crazy events don't matter to me if I don't care for who's involved with them
Deviant. 07.20.12	Olivia's fine, though I'll admit that when the alt universe storyline really got going and we got to spend some time with fauxlivia that that was a breath of fresh air. My only real gripe with the characters is the almost complete lack of development for everyone that isn't Olivia, Walter & Peter
Wolfhorde 07.20.12	Some people wanted me to check that out and I believe I actually watched until the half of season 3 but I remember for some reason I got REALLY bored. You might've actually nailed it with the characters.
TheNotrap 07.20.12	I didin't like Oliva's "Oh Peter why did you fell for fauxolivia....why???..." The script lost track there in my opinion. Too emotional for the series concept.
omnipanzer 07.20.12	I thought the writing and special effects were so bad on season 1 I've never even seen an entire episode.
Mewcopa0 07.20.12	Their characters are almost "character fragments." Not completely developed, yet self sustainable. I almost like the characters more than most shows because you can't relate to them, and you are segregated. Almost as if you are watching through a window. The characters are almost meant to lack depth, in order to strengthen the plot.
theacademy 07.20.12	best show on television. and i 100% disagree about the characters (i'd say peter is the weak point over olive). I rather like that Olivia is... i'm going to go with "muted"... female sci fi leads are either hypersexualized or hyper-masculine but olivia is neither... since fringe is, at its heart, a show about a man weighing the entire world against his son and choosing the latter, i think the most important characters to develop are Walter and Peter, and while Noble delivers some of the best acting on television and Jackson is passable as well, Peter feels a bit underdeveloped (but then i think, how could he not compared to Walter and in such a rich, reasonably tight-knit plot...) I do agree with Notrap's: "I didin't like Oliva's "Oh Peter why did you fell for fauxolivia....why???..." The script lost track there in my opinion." but i don't think it was because it was too emotional --- i think it just felt forced/disingenuous

Cosmiche 07.20.12	was my favourite show until the 3rd season at which point I couldn't watch it any longer. I liked the fact that it was a modern x-files, and when the parallel universe plot really got going they started to stray from the "each-episode-is-a-different-fringe-case" plot that i liked. season 3 just way too convoluted and overly dramatic for its own good.

theacademy 07.20.12	xeno do youself a huge favor and don't watch the end of lost. i don't know where you are in the series so i cant tell you exactly where to stop, but i highly recommend you do.

Yuli 07.20.12	And the monster of the week formula of the show in the first two seasons was impossible for me to enjoy. Structurally the third season's my favorite - everything's been relevant. I just feel like there's no new ground for our characters to cover, but maybe I'll be proven wrong soon. :]
Wolfhorde 07.20.12	I actually watched most of lost (or all of it? I don't really remember) and despite generally being incredibly messy it actually managed to keep my attention. Although it was partly a combination of some characters I liked (Hurley, Saiyeed & the knife guy.. John, I believe) and laughter at shit that's happening.
Deviant. 07.21.12	"(except for calling walter underdeveloped)" Nah dude, everyone BUT Walter, Peter and Olivia. I guess they kind of opened the books on Lincoln a little bit but Lance Reddick is just being wasted on a character who shows up at the beginning, explains the situation and then pretty much disappears. Same for Astrid

Yuli 07.21.12	Only saw 10 minutes of 24, and am not a "TV person" - I only get to watch the occasional show, seeing as I don't really have access to a TV terribly often.

qwe3 07.21.12	Is olivia the protagonist girl cuz if so thats the reason i got as far as like one episode. holy shit shes the worst actress ever plus her character is annoying as fuck ruins the show which looked pretty cool
Yuli 07.21.12	Hahaha, I agree with qwe except not to such an extreme degree. And I agree with you Deviant, Broyles could be so much more interesting but instead he's just the obligatory boss. At least the alternate one was a sweetie.
theacademy 07.21.12	fair enough and i havent had "access to a TV" in four years (except when i visit mom). an internet connection is all you need, don't sell yourself short.
