Pump Up Songs
In my opinion, these songs are all energetic, inspiring songs perfect for when your down at the gym crashing weights or used as pre-game music when your entering the zone. You may not agree with all of my choices, but from my view they are all songs capable of creating sparks of energy required to pump you up. Here's my list :) |
20 | Bloc Party Helicopter
This song cannot compare to the others in terms of energizing, but I decided to incorporate it into the list because it is so catchy and the British accent really gives a different style of music compared to the other artists. |
19 | Evanescence Bring Me To Life
I know that this song has been overplayed over the years, but in my opinion it still has that edge when it first came out. It''s just sad to see some of the members leave. |
18 | Disturbed Shout 2000
A cover by Disturbed of the original song "shout." Disturbed seem to pull off many covers well and this song is not an exception. |
17 | 2pac Can't C Me
The classy jazzy mood that arises from this song is very nice when it is mixed with 2pac's rapping combined to form a very good song. |
16 | Decyfer Down Crash
A stereotypical rock song by an average band. The tune is very catchy however. |
15 | La Roux In For The Kill (Skrillex Remix)
Another good dubstep song, again one remixed from La Roux whose songs seem very compatible with the drum and bass/ dubstep genre showing the diversity of her music. As with all dubstep songs, the drop can really energize you. |
14 | Linkin Park Faint
Recently they have been criticized concerning their change in genre, and this album is when they begin to change to the non-screaming sort of band, trying to pull away from the Hybrid Theory roots. |
13 | Anthrax Crush
Considered the worst out of the big four, but still produces some quality songs such as Crush with the same repetitive tune and scratchy melodies forming a very good song. |
12 | Chris Brown Gimme That
Old school beats which show a different side to Chris Brown, not necessarily a bad side either which this song demonstrates. A very catchy song that all ballers must have. |
11 | Paramore Born For This
Although they have split up, this song shows what they were capable of. In many of their concerts this song is played to relate to the crowd with them singing lyrics which are the song title. |
10 | Pillar Bring Me Down
The lyrics in this song are perfect for this list "you can't bring me down" giving an indestructible feeling whatever you do. |
9 | Pantera The Great Southern Trendkill
Many people will disagree with this song being on this list, but if you are angry, then this song may be the cure for you. |
8 | Enter Shikari Sorry, You're Not a Winner
If you are scared of losing, or have already lost then this is the song for you. A pretty heavy song vocally which incorporates aspects of "post-metal" giving an electric futuristic sound which is different to many genres of today. |
7 | Trivium Torn Between Scylla And Charybdis
The perfect song for a metalcore fan. The intro with dual guitars really captures an enticing mood, one which can inspire and boost your performance in anything you do. |
6 | Big Boi Shutterbug
The best song ever for a pre basketball game warmup. You will not be sorry after you listen to this song as it is one of the greatest pump up Hip-Hop songs in this day and age. |
5 | Ozzy Osbourne I Don't Wanna Stop
I have tried to stick clear of the classic rock which seems to be on everyone's lists, but this song just had to be included and is a classic of what Ozzy can do. |
4 | Atreyu Blow
Just a energetic song in general. After the first line you are immediately pumped for whatever you are planning on doing. It may be slightly repetitive but is still a very good song. |
3 | Ivy Lies Addicted
A very catchy song by an all female band, from the little country of NZ. This is the only song which packs a punch compared to the others of the album, but this one hit wonder is certainly deserving to be ranked on this list. |
2 | Nero Me and You
If you are a dubstep fan, then you must have heard this song before. A classic of the genre and really soul lifting when you reach the drop. The first time I heard this song I was at a paint party and since then it has always been high in the charts for me. |
1 | Avenged Sevenfold Gunslinger
The mellow start to this song may fool you, but I can guarantee that once you reach the 1:20 mark that you will be pleasantly surprised. A great song from a great band. |
