Albums Rated Only By Me (and Worth Your Attention)

Here is the list of the albums for which I'm the one and only person, as for now, who has rated them. One reason: I'm french, so there's a bunch of french band the rest of the world don't know a lot about. Many different genres, hope you can find a forgotten treasure here. Note: I didn't consider really weak albums here.
1Overhead
Metaepitome

Prog band from Finland. This one is their best and really a huge rec for fans of Porcupine tree, Anathema or even Camel. Listen to the eponym track or the guitar solo on "point of view", I'm sure you'll be amazed.
2The Paradise Motel
Left over life to kill

Indy/Dreampop/Shoegaze band from Tasmania (Australia). Reaaly soft, great female voice and unique sound sometimes: give "Calling you" or "German Girl" a try if this is genre you like.
3Virgin Prunes
The moon looked down and laughed

I've been really suprised to discover I was alone on this one. I mean, this is a very famous post punk gothic band from Ireland, most of their albums have been worshiped. Keywords here dandy, gothic, cabaret.
4Kill the Thrill
Low

French industrial metal band, not very famous even in my country, this album is something special, even if it's definitly metal, it's never about pain or anger, very warm, hard to explain actually.
5And Also the Trees
Virus Meadow

Another famous post punk/new wave band from England, still active nowadays. This album has been recorded in 1986.
6And Also the Trees
The Millpond Years

Same as n?5, give a try to "shaletown".
7 Tarmac
L'atelier

It's a french folk/indy band, if you don't understand the lyrics (they sing in french) I don't know... I think it's still worth a try; give a shot at "cher oubli" or "Dis moi c'est quand", you may enjoy it.
8Love lies bleeding
Clinamen

This is a french black metal band, we have a tremendous black metal scene (Blut aus Nord, Belenos, Deathspell Omega...) and this band has been forgotten. I don't really know why. They are very unique, unsing a lot electronics but they alwas keep the dark feeling. If you're in the mood, give this one a shot ("bleeding").
9Inside Conflict
Spherical Mirage

First: great name for a band, isn't it? It a french death, grind, deathcore band. This album is HUGE, I'm not a big fan of the style and still enjoyed it, staight to the point really efficient and still easy to listen from start to finish. There is a cover of Pestilence on this one.
10First Human Ferro
Guernica Macrocosmica

An ambient band from Ukraine!!! A mix between very dark, droning, under water feeling, soundscapes and sad russian 1930's pop folk songs (i imagine). Very unique!
11Overhead
Zumanthum

This their 1st album, apart from that, same as n?1 but a bit less impressive.
12Tarnation
Gentle Creatures

This is an indy/folk/country band from USA, with a 50's-60's feeling!!! Formed by Paula Frazer on the famous 4AD label. I discovered this band with "two wrongs won't make things right" so i recommand you to have a look at this song, it's probably the best way to get into this one.
13Deine Lakaien
Dark Star

A dark wave band from Germany, their lead singer is from Macedonia and may end up being disturbing for some of you, as far the electronics behind his voice, these are among the best, try "love me to the end". Fans of :Wumpscut: should give this one a shot.
14The Sound
Shock of Daylight

It's a famous post punk band from England, their Jeopardy or From the Lion's mouth albums are famous, this EP is not, though it's still pretty good.
15Porn
Glitter, danger & toyboys

It's French band, if you like the pop indus metal aspect of NIN you may like this one: try "soft machine porn machine", this song is a hit! Fun!
16The Legendary Pink dots
Curse

The greatest underground experimental band of all, to me! They are famous and totally forgotten about at the same time. This is one of their less interesting albums, I guess that's why I'm the only who have rated it.
17 Overhead
And we're not here after all

Overhead again! I don't really like this album but i know a lot of prog fans do.
18The Comsat Angels
Land

This is a post punk/new wave band from england, they are famous for their 2 or 3 first albums, all really great, then they turned into pop new wave.
19Tarmac
Notre Epoque

See n?7, this album is really weak compared to "L'atelier" to me but, and also very different and so some people may like this one better.
