07.18.06 | Green Day, Blink-182... |
francesfarmer
07.18.06 | Beastie Boys are extremely easy to learn, though. |
raggedragamuffin
07.18.06 | haha i forgot about the ramones.
and i guess i would put both green day and blink ahead of weezer.
but i didnt wanna put down 10 bands, so i just put the first 5 i thought of |
astrel
07.18.06 | I have heard Weezer can actually have some pretty tough guitar parts...I wouldn't know...the drumming is easy as hell though. |
The Sludge
07.18.06 | The Offspring isn't as easy as you think. And what about Beastie Boys, what do they got thats easy to learn on guitar. |
raggedragamuffin
07.18.06 | i know about 30 different offspring songs. trust me, theyre easy.
beastie boys: fight for your right, no sleep till brooklyn, sabotage,...
and weezer does have a couple songs that take a little bit longer than 15 minutes to learn, but on the whole, very easy |
Bron-Yr-Aur
07.18.06 | Nirvana. You could learn their entire catalogue in fifteen minutes. |
YDload
07.18.06 | Kerry King played guitar on the Beasties' "Licensed to Ill" album, I didn't think the songs would be THAT easy. |
raggedragamuffin
07.18.06 | didnt know about kerry king. its pretty sweet that he played on that album.
but you know, even very good guitarists can write very easy stuff, and speaking of kerry king, check out "threshold". that is also some very easy guitar.
Nirvana...not one of the bands that ever pops itno my head. They are pretty easy as well. |
francesfarmer
07.19.06 | No, not 'pretty easy.' Nirvana is the saddest guitar playing, ever. Granted they can make cool riffs, but Kurt knew about four or five chords, power-chords, and wailed on a couple bar chords a few times. The guy had absolutely no knowledge of progression, scales, theory etc. He was terrible. |

07.19.06 | contrary to what you think, some songs from the offspring are pretty complicated to play eg. the kids aren't alright. And btw you forgot teh ramones |
raggedragamuffin
07.19.06 | fine, I'll give you "The Kids aren't alright". but even that song only took me about 30 minutes to learn. they are very easy. maybe youre just not a good enough guitarist to see that.
and i shouldve maybe made this into a 10 band list, including green day, nirvana, blink182, ramones, and maybe pennywise. |
Electric City
07.22.06 | Rammstein???
But yes, Green Day and Blink would have been great choices. |
raggedragamuffin
07.26.06 | yeah, rammstein. i once set my mind to learning a few of their songs, and i learned 8 of them in 20 minutes.
they have a core riff for each song, and dont vary too much. easy |

08.13.06 | I tired of guitar worshipers dissing Nirvana just because the band isn't all about guitar. Everything except the guitar playing was revolutionary in that band. Kurt played distorted guitar and as a noise-rocker his guitar playing was just as good as Sonic Youth. He could actually play extremely well, but no one heard it (unless they were covering a Led Zeppelin song.) This list could be so much longer, but it's good. Just missing The Ramones (and yes, Nirvana, but it's easier to emulate the sound of Jimmy Page than it is Kurt Cobain.) |
