Nice list. What would you suggest as the first step for getting into Insahn, Nokturnal Mortum, Naglfar, Immortal, and Ensiferum. I heard some stuff from Ensiferum's EP and their latest album but I didn't dig it too much. Is their other stuff worth checking out? |

This is a bit hit and miss. I don't go in for the Finnish sound too much, so pass on 1, 2, 3 and 6... Naglfar are pretty average.... Nokturnal Mortum go alright... Ihsahn's album is strong as is Skydancer.... Anthems is passable. |

@ chimera908 - I don't know what they sounded like before, but Kayo Dot's second album was one the most ponderous, pretentious pieces of shit I've ever heard, and this is coming from a major Ulver fan.
