3.4 greatmanosg EMERITUS | April 23rd 17

Despite Steve Morse's resume and the word "tension" in the album's title, High Tension Wires is mostly a laid back affair. In addition, labeling the music on here as progressive would be a stretch as most tracks are rather short with not much room to develop into something adventurous. However, this is a very good slab of instrumental guitar music that features diversity in the form of various influences, melodies and moods with some eclectic and emotional moments.
