I found this almost accidentally whilst browsing various music forums online and it absolutely blew me away. The melodies, sounds and general production are really beautiful and it really feels like all the best qualities of my favourites ambient albums came together to form 42 minutes of bliss for the ears. What is also critical to mention is that every single track I can remember and love equally, which is quite unique for modern electronic albums, which insist on filling the gaps between the good stuff with boring, filler material.
I bought the album for a price I set via the official website, which is nothing new for digital releases, but the artist actually used this same sales tactic for the physical releases too... a risky move i'm sure, but hopefully enough people felt the same way as me and supported it.
For a free download, it's really a no-brainer. Fans of classic ambient such as SAWII, Substrata, early Autechre and co really should check this out. It has just the right elements of light and dark and it's a real shame it doesn't have more exposure than it does, because it is easily as good as any of those classic albums.
