Too much of a good thing is the only measurable complaint about this album. Slechtvalk's combination of symphonic, melodic and Viking black metal is handled with expert songwriting, melodic finesse and a pictorial, emotional lyrical story; it blends together towards the end, with the overall quality and professionalism at a slightly lower standard, but is otherwise an absolute essential for black metal fans.
