3.1 good | Erwann S. STAFF | January 25th 21 | Ah. This is messy. I'd like to use a better term, but how would ya describe a 25-mins album that mostly contains traces of hyperpop, nu metal, tradi-pop, and dubstep, but isn't reduced by these few influences? Fuck, there even is a viking metal part and a Rebecca Black feat, as if 2020 wasn't horrible enough. Despite the extreme nature of the record, its capacity to align weird bangers after weird bangers is quite praiseworthy, even if the headfuckery isn't too far away. A one-stop antics whose themes (it's a concept album about toxic masculinity and incels as seen through a queer lens) will likely outlast the album's music.

0.0 | Red D | November 18th 20 | Uncomfortable thoughts live on in ?My Agenda? and Dorian mines gold out of embarrassment in their glorious sophomore album.rThe habitual cheek and mischief are found in Dorian?s new project along with the tenderness that has been there all along. They?re articulated in more political terms as Dorian parodies the overtaking of social norms and heteronormative culture by the so-called ?homosexual agenda?. The polish of ?Flamboyant? is now chipped and glitchy, darker and grittier. There are also less pop fantasies in ?My Agenda?, preferring deep dives into incel culture and alt-right online fearmongering.rThey consolidate their power of empathy by continuing a now established trend of impersonating marginalized groups wherever they fall on the political and social spectrums. In ?My Agenda? Dorian go beyond their own circumstances and puts on the shoes of those you?d think have little in common with him. Instead, he suggests the commonality of isolating experiences can be a bridge to overcome endless conflicts that erupts from symmetric standpoints.rDorian Electra?s call to arms to invade online and offline spaces in which the so-called ?homosexual agenda? is threatened could not sound more urgent in their home country as it does now when the highest judiciary office is on the cusp of overturning its recent advances.

3.0 good | ajcollins15 | October 29th 20 | Dorian Electra is an oddball in the PC music landscape, which is an ironic statement in itself to say. The Texas-based artist brings a lot of introspective, yet tongue-in-cheek, approach to gender identity, and how the world cannot handle people that are gender-neutral or multi-gendered. Lyrically he has some of the funniest and sexually intense lyrics that will make you question what in the world did he say. However, what always holds me back from their music is how bombastic it can be, and not always in the best way. Sometimes the instrumentation and style can just be too much to really handle. This is the same issue I had with Charlie XCX?s most recent release, there is way too much going on and not in a good way. Still, a solid little LP and a continued showing that PC music is the future of pop music.

4.0 excellent | chilledpunkrock | October 20th 20 | First listen, I was confused and frankly kinda disappointed. Second listen, started growing on me. Third, this thing is fantastic (though still not anywhere near Flamboyant). Wall to wall bangers and the concept of internet cringe culture on a lot of these songs is great, with the homophobe-bashing being a great compliment. I do wish it was a bit longer -- most of the songs hover around the 2 to 2.5 minute mark when they could easily go longer -- but regardless this is great and I'm so happy it's here.
