Formed in early 2005, Canadian four-piece Veil Maker defined their sound by being nigh-undefinable. Seeming to draw influence from all across the musical spectrum, the band' sound darted between such genres as Shoegaze, Punk Rock, Post-Hardcore, and Progressive Metal. In November of 2005, they released their debut EP, Do Not Be Afraid, Though Briars And Thorns Are All Around You And You Live Among Scorpions, to positive critical response. Marshall was replaced in early 2006 by guitarist Matthew Meeboer.
Veil Maker broke up midway through 2007, and though their 2-year life is only remembered by one EP, the band made a definite name for themselves and received worldwide acclaim for their genre-defying and groundbreaking music. « hide |
