"Storycide", a dark melodic opus drawn from the project, has been sync'd worldwide in top rated US TV series CSI: Las Vegas.
September 29, 2011 (New York, NY) -- Electro Pop recording artist Tying Tiffany announces the release of Drownin', the debut single from "Dark Days, White Nights" her new studio set slated for January 2012.
Drownin' premieres on the in-game soundtrack of EA SPORTS™ FIFA 12, the latest edition of Electronic Arts' FIFA football franchise in stores September 27 in North America and September 30 worldwide. Tying Tiffany was chosen as the only artist from Italy to take part in an "Insane International Line-Up" (MTV Iggy) of 39 acts from 15 countries including The Ting Tings, CSS, Kasabian, TV On The Radio, The Strokes and Thievery Corporation to form an unprecedented mix of genre-spanning music gathered from around the globe. "Our belief is that FIFA soundtracks must always be more than just a collection of songs," said Steve Schnur, Worldwide Executive of Music and Marketing at EA. "We want to create a true international showcase that embodies dozens of nations and virtually every genre of music. We want to bring the world closer together by uniting the global cultures of soccer and music."
The inclusion of Drownin' in FIFA 12 marks the second high profile use of a Tying Tiffany song in an international synchronization in less than a year. "Storycide" taken from the Goth-influenced Electro Pop "People's Temple" project was featured in top rated US TV series CSI: Las Vegas.
Tying Tiffany slammed onto the scene in 2005 with the debut album "Undercover", a dance floor epic that doesn't disappoint in its critical comparisons to legendary countryman Giorgio Moroder and provided her with an instant international platform. The album track "You Know Me" was subsequently licensed for the "Full Body Workout, Vol.2", a compilation from the noted Berlin-based label Get Physical.
