Total Eclipse is a power metal band that was formed in 1996 in San Francisco, California by brothers Chris and Erik Cameron. The band would record two albums before their first initial split in 2003 when the Cameron brothers wanted to pursue a different musical direction. Later on in 2007, vocalist/guitarist Andy Giardina gained the Total Eclipse name for himself before moving to Rome, Italy and reforming the band with a new lineup. Not too long after, the second album recorded with the Cameron brothers lineup Spellcaster was finally released in 2008, even though the band at this point had new members. Since then, Total Eclipse has moved between alternating periods of activity and inactivity.
